My tutor Cris has been a great help throughout my junior year in high school. I've seen great improvements in the subjects he has helped me with. He has a great attitude and truly believes everyone can achieve their full potential. I would highly recommend him as a tutor. He is a great person and continues to guide me towards achieving the academic goals I have set for myself.Jun 28, 2020
“My son has never been interested in school and it continues to be a struggle today to get him to concentrate on completing his work. Cris is one of the few people that he could connect with which was a big help in getting him through a lot of work that was overdue in his classes. I would without question recommend Cris for tutoring services.” - Shane GooginsJun 27, 2020
Really great tutoring. Targeted what I needed to focus on really well and I felt like I was given the materials I needed to improve during and after the tutor session.Jun 15, 2020Review from GoogleFlatirons Tutoring's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Most tutoring companies charge between $75-100/hour for tutoring, and my rate of $75/hour is at the bottom of that range. We are also able to provide a $150 discount with the purchase of a 10 Session Package, a good deal to take advantage of if you want tutoring for an entire school year, summer, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We want to know what your goals are for tutoring, whether it be sustained instruction to supplement school work, help completing homework, maximizing your SAT/ACT test score, or anything else! By understanding your goals, we work together to develop a tailored game plan to help fulfill your needs and help you succeed. We provide immediate, detailed, and specific feedback to you during tutoring sessions, using curriculum from your school, curriculum we have developed, or any other resources that may apply (College Board, textbooks, etc.). We will ensure to diagnose what your strengths and weaknesses are, and help you develop the studying and test taking strategies that best align with how you work, empowering you to perform with confidence.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Cris has a B.S. in Physics & Secondary Education, along with a minor in Mathematics. He has held a teaching license in Illinois and Colorado, where he has taught Physics and Math. He has been tutoring and teaching for over 7 years, working with a wide range of students with varying goals, including general homework help, maximizing SAT scores, gaining acceptance into a dream college, winning merit-based scholarships, and more. He has tutored in or taught a wide range of STEM courses, including: Pre-Algebra Algebra 1 & 2 Pre-Calculus Trigonometry Physics SAT/ACT Test Prep Biology Chemistry Calculus, etc. He is currently teaching Physics and Math at Golden View Classical Academy in Golden, CO, where he also coaches basketball. He also coaches football at Ralston Valley HS in Arvada, where he lives.
