Darwin did a great job. He painted our family room shelving white and fixed our living room mantle which a previous painter was unable to paint without leaving drips. He also fixed some drywall work we had in the basement. He pays attention to detail which is important to me. I will be hiring him for some more work in the future.
Nick was able to come by our house and come up with a plan for our remodel (turning the attached garage into living space) in less than a week- perfect since we already had contractors lined up. The 3D drawings were all our contractor needed, although a few more visits from Nick during the nearly 6-week job would've been beneficial for some of the little things. Overall a great guy with an awesome eye- responsive, easy to reach, fairly priced, and mindful of our budget. We had a great experience with Nick.
We have been getting our basement finished for the last few weeks and I can say without a doubt that Brian from Design Create is by far one of the best contractors I have ever seen. I work for a custom home builder so I know quality when I see it. Brian's pricing was right on the money and his work is outstanding. We have been thrilled by his communication, craftsmanship, and level of professional nature. His team is super caring and are such hard workers. Everything Brian and his team have done from the tile work to installing cabinets, and drywall has been done flawlessly. If you are looking to finish your basement, do a small remodel, or an outdoor kitchen feel free to contact me for a reference or look up his other reviews on thumbtack.com. We have recommended him to many friends and can't say more about how awesome this process has been! Pictures to follow shortly.
I put an ad in Craigslist for landscaping help and Anthony responded. It was apparent he had more skill than I anticipated. As a,master plumber I've dealt with a lot of tradesmen. Anthony proved he was an outstanding find for me as he built a flagstone patio area beyond anything I expected. If not for his knowledge and skills my patio idea would have washed away in a few years. Instead I have an awesome patio that is built to last decades. Thank you Anthony for your pride you take in your work.
Michael came as arranged, did the work very carefully, was very pleasant to have in our home. I was highly satisfied.
Hard working, trustworthy man. He was on time both days and even finished the job ahead of my expectations. I will use him again very soon. Thank you sir for your great rates and hard, quality work.
Michael installed a ceiling fan in our covered patio. And he did it on time and perfectly on budget, even though the work ended up being more than her projected. I've had plenty of unpleasant experiences with contractors, but Michael was among the best I've ever experienced. Everything about the experience was professional. He's great.
Brett is amazing! I hired him to remove my popcorn ceilings and paint my interior walls. I ended up hiring him to install my floor, patch a ceiling, and several other odds and ends. Brett is a pleasure to work with and a master of his craft. You cannot go wrong in hiring him
Israel/Yakima finished our unfinished basement in Castle Rock, approximately 1,600 sf of finish within the 2,500 sf space. Yakima's cost for the work was fair and they did the work from my design, making some recommendations along the way for some minor revisions. Israel was always a pleasure to work with - timely with the things we needed, always very courteous with us, and respectful of our home and property. We selected mid-grade finishes for the basement to keep costs down somewhat and Israel was always mindful of the budget yet consistently provided a high level of quality for the finished product. We were very pleased with the final cost of the project and the quality of the final product. Israel and Yakima were a pleasure to work with - his employees and subcontractors were all as courteous and respectful as he was. We would retain Yakima again in the future for similar projects and recommend them to anyone seeking high quality work for a fair price.
John did an amazing job finishing our ~1,000 sq ft basement. I'm amazed at his knowledge and experience in the industry. Our project was finished on time and under budget. John was incredibly flexible throughout the project, as we changed our plans several times. He always catered to any ideas that we had. We got to know John well throughout the course of the project, and he was very easy to work with and trustworthy. He hired amazing sub-contractors for the work that he didn't do himself in our basement, without charging any additional charges. Even though he didn't charge extra for subs, he was still around regularly to make sure their work was done correctly and professionally. You can tell he has a lot of experience in the industry by how he interacts with subcontractors and city inspectors, and by how he treats his customers. If you're looking for someone to remodel your basement (or for any remodel for that matter), stop looking and hire Lanzarone Construction. You will not be disappointed. Take a look at the pictures of our finished basement, we get tons of compliments on the workmanship.
As a general contractor I deal with a lot of trades and subcontractors. Watts on is a dependable choice. Projects have always been completed on time and within estimated costs. Jesse performs the work without any hassle or upselling.
Ray remodeled my 1972 basement. The floors were uneven, the exterior entryway needed a complete renovation as did the bathroom and kitchen. Ray tiled and plumbed my bathroom and installed the cabinets. He leveled the floors and finished the drywall throughout the entire basement. He was personable, on time, and his attention to detail was evident in the finished basement!
The Endleys father and son team recently installed Sunrise windows for us. They were friendly and courteous throughout. The work extended longer than we thought, partly because of winter weather constraints. The job was done reasonably well back in January and they addressed most minor issues. In the course of the work, some of our stone coated metal roof shingles got crumpled and bent as they and their subcontractor worked on the roof. We have informed them of the problem and we are certain they will promptly address it to our satisfaction.
If Ross bids on your job, accept it, period. We bought a house in Arvada, and it needed severe updating. We have zero experience with any sort of remodeling/updating/construction/contractors etc., and we went with Ross over other bids primarily because he said he could meet our tight timeline and he just seemed like the right guy from the start. The project has all but concluded, and Ross exceeded any expectation I had about contractors, especially in this market, and especially since I have heard so many horror stories from various individuals throughout Denver. Ross was quick to respond to any questions we had and constantly gave us project updates as things moved along (we spoke almost daily, and it would have been daily if I wanted). He made us feel like we were his only clients, despite having multiple other jobs going while working with us. One of numerous stories; the night we moved in the house we notice a leak coming from the ceiling in our kitchen, I sent Ross a text on a Sunday morning showing him the issue, and on the same Sunday morning he was over at my house, giving up his one day of the week to do personal stuff fixing our plumbing that had been poorly repaired by a subcontractor. Not one grumble, sigh, or hint that it was an inconvenience to him, and that is Ross. There are too many stories like this to include, he goes above and beyond to make you happy in all of his work, and in some cases, work that is not his, because well, it does not look right to him, and he wants it to be right. He makes you feel like he can and will do anything, and he does. He literally takes care of everything, and addresses all concerns. He is honest, and he is straight with you on what is possible and what it will cost, and guess what, it costs exactly what he tells you! We have beyond enjoyed working with Ross and his crew over the past 6 weeks, and look forward to hiring him to do a basement finish in the future. I will go out of my way to tell people to use him for any home remodel project.
Norton Building and Remodel exceeded my expectations in every way. The world of contractors is full of sub-standard quality and a lack of reliability, but Norton has demonstrated everything but. My design firm hired him as a tile subcontractor and has since sustained a solid professional working relationship outside of the original project with them on multiple contractor levels. I can't say enough about Norton Building and Remodel!!
Steve showed up on time. This is really important to me and very personable. He knew exactly what he was talking about. For those of you who are unsure or even skeptical about contractors rest assured with Steve! I would recommend him to anyone.
Tim came over due to a flood we had in our basement because we initially thought there was a mold issue, our house being older Tim explained that asbestos might be a factor. He got us in contact with an environmental consulting company called BTG & Associates to come out and take asbestos samples of the floor tile and the drywall. Both companies were punctual, honest, and very knowledgeable. Without Tim we wouldn't have even thought about asbestos being an issue. Money well spent to say the least. Not only did he do clean and safe work to remove, him and his subcontractors came back and rebuilt our drywall and flooring in the basement like we never had a water loss.
J&G Quality Construction is a family owned business who takes pride in their work. James and the subcontractors who work with him are all professional and provide the quality of work that one would expect from a larger business but on a more personal level. James is very responsive and easily reachable when you need to discuss your ideas. They remodeled my master bathroom, kids bathroom, and my entry way and bar area. I would highly recommend James and his company to anyone who needs improvement on their home or business. You will not be disappointed with the quality of workmanship that J&G Construction provides.
Peter is a wonderful contractor for our basement finish (Organic Modern) project. We have known Pete for five or six years now, and were happy to entrust him with this job. He is fun and easy to work with, knows his stuff, and brings artisan-level vision to our project. I've been extremely impressed with his ability to foresee the end result even in a blank space. His mathematical ability to solve spatial issues and logistics is incredible. He weighs in with humor and pragmatism for all our choices in finishes, etc. Even though I'm completely inept at clearly describing my vision for this space, he somehow interprets my communication and comes through with exactly what we need. I love working with him. While we are in the beginning stages of this project (electrical, plumbing, and framing completed), I have full confidence that Pete and his subcontractors will complete our project with professionalism and style. I highly recommend Pete as a skilled, awesome contractor for any work, and I look forward to enjoying the finished project in our home for many years.
Denver Urban Builders is currently doing several different projects for my clients, my business, and myself. They have outstanding work ethic and are always available for questions I have and bids I need. They come with many different subcontractors for different building needs and my experience with every subcontractor they use are outstanding as well. The integrity of these Builders along with their eye for good design and proper functionality of any living space is unparalleled to any other builder I have worked with which is many for myself as a real estate and interior design professional.
Wwe are very pleased with the service we have received from Advantage Construction and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing their services. They stayed on top of all subcontractors to make certain work was done well and even went back to the insurance company when the adjuster had not allotted enough funds for items such as window replacement. Phone calls were always returned in a timely way.
Ryan always works hard to provide great solutions in my home for repairs - small and large. He is timely and hires quality subcontractors and workers. He is a man of his word and is totally professional which is hard to come by in construction and home repair. He is great!
Danny from DB Contracting did great job with the basement finish project at my home. Danny and his team of subcontractors were responsible, willing to go beyond the expectations and stay after hours to get the job done correctly. Their bids were accurate and fair relative to the other bids that I received. I would highly recommend DB contracting for future projects.
