We hired Gator for multiple projects on our house. I could write a very lengthy review of all the issues we had, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Every project had an issue and went way over the timelines we were given. Upon my initial meeting with Dan, he was pleasant and made me feel confident his team would execute these projects well. Gator was also one of the most expensive bids we received (almost double of some of the bids) so based on the reviews and photos of past work, I was confident at the time that our projects would be flawless.
The one positive was that we had can lights installed in our loft (in addition to multiple ceiling fan lights) and after Dan replaced the faulty initial fans, we are happy with that result.
His team that installed our fireplace was extremely careless, dropped many tools on our brand new LVP flooring and actually punctured and scratched them, which is difficult to do. He used our garage as his personal storage unit for his tools for the 4 weeks it took him to finish it (he told us it would take 1.5 weeks). In addition, they somehow got stain on our freshly painted garage walls. The person working on the fireplace wall also initially tried to deny the fact that it was his drill that fell off a ladder that caused the hole. Absolutely reckless.
The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because Dan was generally pleasant to work with, and he did try to rectify the horrific work by his teams in the end. We ended up not completing the projects with Gator and settling the bill before any more damage was done to our home. For the price, I expected much better quality work. I would not recommend Gator Home Remodel to anyone looking for remodel projects.
