In 2014, her average settlements and verdicts exceeded $10 Million. She has been instrumental in winning large class action settlements, with awards ranging from $15 million to more than $1 billion. She was awarded the 21 Leaders Award from Womens E News for being an advocate for the enslaved and for writing effective anti-human trafficking law, pro bono. More Magazine in its May 2011 edition named her as one of the 50 Women That You Want On Your Side. She has written laws for many states and works with nations around the world to end slavery. The Denver Rescue Mission awarded her with the Women Who Changed the Heart of the City Award, and she received the coveted Georgia Imhoff Philanthropy Award.
Beth Klein was born and raised in Colorado. She graduated second in her class at Truman University, summa cum laude. She received a Rotary International Scholarship to Ireland where she received Honors, First Class. Beth attended the University of Denver, College of Law where she was an editor for the Denver Law Review.
She started trying cases before she graduated with the City Attorney's office in Denver. Beth Klein has served clients on both sides of the fence and has a unique, well-rounded view of evidence and the trial process. In the 90s, she was personally selected to serve as National Trial Counsel to Owens Corning in a high-profile series of asbestos litigation cases. She represented corporations in high-risk cases (cases that had a potential jury award of $5 million or more) until she was asked by the plaintiff's counsel to change sides and represent people who had been diagnosed with asbestos related cancer and mesothelioma.
Beth teaches other lawyers how to be effective advocates. Having taught at NITA, the University of Denver College of Law and the University of Colorado School of Law, she is a sought-after lecturer.
Beth is Board Certified in Civil Trials by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Less than 20 lawyers in Colorado are board certified.
She is a Fellow of the Colorado Bar Foundation, a Member of the Million Dollar Advocates, a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and member of the Belli Society. All of these organizations are invitation only and include only the elite lawyers in the United States.
