Packing and Unpacking
This was a great experience! I just moved into a new home which is much smaller than my previous home. I was overwhelmed with all the boxes and Beth came in and got right to work. She’s very good at seeing where things should go and we were able to find the perfect spot for everything that I decided to keep. Thanks again Beth for your help!

It was very unfortunate that the movers who unloaded everything from your previous home in VA did not do so with any amount of care or consideration and left you feeling even more overwhelmed than a typical move can leave people feeling. Beth helped me organize and move my elderly father from Denver to Niwot after my brother passed away in an accident. She was/is a literal godsend! So patient and loving helping him work through his resistance to letting go of every item so we could move him closer to me. My dad is very sweet but stubborn and not always easy - especially around home and stuff. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have gotten him to Boulder/Niwot without her. Beth isn’t just an organizer. She’s a wonderful person whose patience and kindness made all the difference in a very challenging time for me and my family.

Beth is a whirlwind of organization; she is fast, efficient and highly creative in her organizing solutions. If you are moving she will make packing and unpacking pleasant. If you have too much stuff she will help you pare down. If your stuff is disorganized she will find an organizing solution. I have worked with Beth for over 5 years and I highly recommend her!

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing is based to some degree on the project but the typical home organizing or move management hourly rate is $60. For any other services (admin support, general errands, petsitting/housesitting, meal prep) please provide specific details when inquiring about It's Just Stuff services to better determine the scope of the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I generally request that we schedule a 30 minute free virtual consult to make sure that your needs match my expertise but also to get more details about the project as well as see if there might be any issues or obstacles especially ones that need to be addressed up front. Most clients find this to be a very comforting way to make sure It's Just Stuff will be a good fit. Sometimes a client just doesn't feel a connection and that's ok...the most important thing is to make sure there is a complete understanding of the goals and budget.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I like to think that most of my education and training for any of the services It's Just Stuff provides is a result of a life of experiences. I have a degree in communications which I do maintain I use each and every day running this business. And I have a great amount of empathy and compassion for any organizing client struggling with executive functioning. Most importantly, I truly do have a natural desire for their to be less chaos and more order in our homes but that requires understanding that the true source is usually a result of internal clutter which then becomes external clutter. My entire life I have just been someone who likes everything in place and contained so it really is a nature vs. nurture thing for me. I am constantly educating myself on the latest information regarding all of the moving parts to being in this profession as well as engaging with other professional organizers literally around the world to discuss trends, challenging situations, etc. Bottom line, I am confident in my abilities and how I connect with clients.
