I have to update about my current experience. We hired Matt to build a new deck for us. Explained that we needed it soon which was no problem with his schedule at the time. On the day he was supposed to start the job, he was a no show. I texted him to see what time he would be there. He called about 30 to 40 minutes later and stated that he could not start our fence due to another job. In construction world I know this happens all the time. However, you do not wait until the day of and also wait until the customer contacts you. He said he should have let us know on Thursday (job to start Friday). The profile states “excellent communication”. We paid half down so that he could get the materials and we were having Father’s Day for the dads. The other bid was more expensive, but they could get us in. He said he would send the deposit back in full which is what I would do if I was not able to fulfill what I was hired for in the stated timeframe. He said he would work all day on Saturday and finish up on Monday (he wasn’t going to work in Father’s Day). Unfortunately, we had plans with the family and I did not want a construction mess. We’ve received half back as he promised. He said he would send the remainder on Monday of which he did not, even after numerous attempts to contact him, we have heard nothing and have not received the second half. Fantastic experience! Our fence is simply beautiful and he listened to our needs. Thank you so much!!!
