Words can’t do justice to the experience we had with Zach. He is amazing at his craft and helped transform our existing “meh” fireplace in the home we just bought into our DREAM fireplace. His skill, attention to detail, punctuality, and communication made for seamless work days and an unbelievably beautiful finished shiplapped hearth/wall with newly attached mantel in the 2-3 day projected time frame we discussed from the get-go, while also graciously agreeing to tack on replacing some quarter round for us and fully re-painting the fireplace after I made an initial dumb mistake with my color/sheen choice. You don’t find people like Zach often in this line of work and I’m just so thrilled to add another trusty craftsman to my list of who to call for future home renovation endeavors. I honestly didn’t want to write this review for fear he will get so many bookings that he won’t have time for our other 3+ projects I’ve already requested pricing from him for, but, he’s too great not to share. See ya soon Zach!

I am very happy with the stairs that Zach rebuilt on my porch. Zach is very friendly the price was very fair and his work was excellent. I would highly recommend Zach at Mathes construction.

I love working with Mathes! He is punctual, easy to work with, and does not mind going an extra mile to accommodate. He was not in a rush to complete the job, and made sure I was happy with the final outcome. Mathes did an excellent job, and left the area as clean as he has found it. I will not hesitate to hire Mathes Construction for all my carpentry needs.
