FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The hard part with pricing a plumbing job is that almost all are unique. While a water heater swap out or sink installation may be a standard price, the cost detecting and repairing a leak, or repairing a toilet are dependent on many factors. These are services, as much as we'd love to, we just can't quote over the phone. A serviceman needs to see the problem in person. That's why we do are best to talk with our customers on the phone to give them all the information they need to move forward. That's also why we charge one of the lowest service fees in the industry at $35.00. We're not trying to make money by coming out to you, we're just trying to cover the high cost of fuel and our insurance. Some companies that say they don't have a service charge or offer free estimates, but just wait until you get the bid. It'll be in there.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
McAdams Plumbing handles all residential services from sink to sewer, but some come up more often than others. Water heater replacement, drain cleaning, and frozen pipe repairs would have to be our most common issues; but rest assured, with over 37 years of experience, there's not a plumbing related issue in your home that we can't handle. Let us show you why with McAdams Plumbing, the Proof is in the Plumbing!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking to hire a service provider it's important to remember that you get what you pay for. A good serviceman/woman must be licensed, insured, and certified to work in your area, plus they have to be equipped with all the tools to do the job right the first time! If a service seems just crazy inexpensive, the provider is probably crazy inexperienced or ill-equipped to handle your problem. You want to look for fair pricing in the market. Too low and your quality will suffer, to high and you know this company is just trying to gash you!
