FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When we give a written “quote” it’s exactly that, it includes everything, materials, labor, tear off, haul away and tax. It’s what I’ll ask for when I am done. Very rarely will something come up that was impossible to see until the old comes down like rotted fascia or soffit but you will be notified as soon as the problem presents itself, never at the end with a surprise up charge. You will make the decision on what you want to do and will never be forced into something you don’t want done. A lot of companies will use little “tricks” to be the lowest bid or “estimate” such as not charging to haul away the old gutter leaving a heap of jagged metal for you to contend with or adding the tax in after the job is completed so that’s another question you should be ready to ask. With us it’s clearly written on the QUOTE, tax, labor, materials and haul away included.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
That depends on them, if they are curious and want to have a discussion about what they want or have questions and concerns, I will spend as much time as needed making them feel comfortable with there choices. If they just want someone to “FIX” this mess, I’m happy to give them a quote with any suggestions I may have for them clearly marked on the diagram without even having to meet. I’m a bit old school so I enjoy meeting and discussing my work with people but in this day and age of high tech, I have done every bit of a job just communicating through text and emails and never meeting or speaking a word with a customer. Everything we do is on the outside of your house so we do not need entry or even someone being home for us to do our job. That being said, I always communicate what day and time I plan to be at your house and never show up unannounced.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
35 years of tweeking and fine tuning MY system, is as much training and education YOU should need.
