Steve McBride was a delight to work with. He was patience with us as we navigated the strange and frightening waters of legal separation. Steve clearly explained the process, laws, and our rights in a non-condescending manner using terms that we both understood. He listened to our needs and concerns and offered creative solutions that resulted in both parties feeling satisfied. Steve was exceptionally responsive--answering emails sometimes within minutes, but always within 24 hours. We never felt pressured to move more quickly than was comfortable. Steve's fluency with the system ensured we fully addressed all necessary considerations. In fact, the clerk with whom I filed the paperwork, as well as the person with whom we met at the initial status conference, commented on the organization and completeness of our paperwork. Steve's fees were fair, he worked efficiently, and emailed detailed statements regularly. I whole-heartedly recommend Steve McBride to anyone requiring help navigating a legal separation or divorce.

Paula went above and beyond during my very messy divorce, she provided caring and professional mediation during a really hard time. Paula diffused very tense situations and helped us come to a workable agreement. I highly recommend Paula!

About

I have been mediating cases for over eleven years. In that time I have mediated over 2,400 cases including court ordered cases for the counties of Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas and Elbert counties. Areas mediated include but are not limited to county & district civil, domestic relations and real estate disputes. Private mediations run the complete gambit of dispute resolution. Most cases can be mediated in a couple of hours. Many mediations (over 60%) have eliminated the need for the parties to go to trial because the parties have found enough areas of agreement and compromise to resolve their problems without the need of a trial. While it is not my role to resolve your matters, it is my role to guide through the process of determining if there is a appropriate resolution which avoids the need for litigation or a trial. As a mediator I do not make any decisions but rather help keep the conversation moving. On a few occasions I have arbitrated a case to resolution for the parties. I am a neutral which means I do not take sides. On many occasions I have had parties come to mediation starting out by informing me that there is no way a resolution can be reached. After discuss with the parties I have had the satisfaction when both sides carve out a resolution, which may not make them totally happy, but that leaves them satisfied enough that they don't need to further litigate their case or have a trial. REMEMBER that as a mediator I don't make the decisions, you do. As an old attorney friend has told me many times, when both parties are a little unhappy you probably have a fair resolution.

I have worked with Tracy in the mediation field for over a year, and find that she is VERY effective at helping disputing parties to reach mutually acceptable, sustainable and fair settlements - thereby avoiding the risks that a court mandated decision could certainly entail. She is a very good listener, and finds creative ways to reduce tension and clarify underlying issues. If you need effective help in settling a dispute BEFORE it goes to trail, Tracy is your best answer.
