FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing is $250 an hour for my services. This is always for just the time that I am actually DJing for you. Set up and tear down time come completely free! My wedding packages also come with complimentary party lights, uplighting, and a projector and screen for use! Travel fee's are applied to anything that is more than 60 miles away from Colorado Springs at a rate of 50 cents per mile. Discounts are available at certain venues and also for heroes including government employees, active duty or military veterans, doctors, nurses, firefighters, police, teachers, or social workers.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During an initial meeting, we typically will engage the customer to find out what they want for their event, making sure that the proper mood and etiquette is at the forefront of how we take care of the event. After that we work to completely customize ourselves to give our clients comfort knowing that we will give them the experience they desire! After that, a full contract is issued to make sure that our client understands what they can expect from Elevation DJs for their special event! Once the contract has been signed, a google folder is shared between the client and Elevation DJs so that that information can easily be dragged and dropped in, giving us the ability to review and see any and all pertinent information! We also give our clients cheat sheets that ask for certain songs or allow us to establish timelines to make sure that structure as well as fun is taken care of! When 2 weeks remain, another face to face (or due to distance or time Skype or facetime) meeting is scheduled to go over everything and make sure that a good plan feels like it is in place. On the day of the event, Elevation DJs always shows up early and will work hard to execute the event as planned (working with both you and your vendors) as well as provide a wonderful time that everyone involved can have fond memories about!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the DJ Business for over 5 years and worked on countless weddings, corporate parties, conventions, bar and bat mitzvahs, quinceanera's, birthday parties and graduation parties! I am also a trained master of ceremonies that holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Radio and Television Broadcasting from Wartburg College as well as a Masters Degree in Communications from West Texas A & M University.
