We had the best experience with this DJ for our special day. Very easy to communicate with and responsive, professional, and quality of his work was top notch.
He was everything we could of asked for and made our event fantastic.
We really appreciated him listening to what we wanted, and he was able to handle everything himself for equipment and set up without ourselves or a coordinator to support. Top marks for dressing sleek and professional, and a really great guy to deal with.
Can't recommend him enough!

Dereick, Mr. Fatz Soundz himself, was the DJ for our wedding and I cannot praise him enough!!! 🙌 From the very beginning, he was beyond professional and responsive. He immediately got back to us with a quote. A quote that was $200 less than the other two DJs recommended on Thumbtack.
He put our wants first....asked what WE wanted, played the songs we asked for, worked on the playlist ahead of time, etc.
The best part was, (and sorry if this offends other DJs) but he wasn't there to hear himself talk. I was hesitant to book a DJ in the first place because I didn't want to hear some weirdo ramble on and do the fake voice thing. We even contemplated using a Bluetooth speaker to avoid that potential issue. But instead, we took a risk and booked Dereick and we truly couldn't be happier! If you are on the fence about booking a DJ, my only advice would be that music is essential to any good party. It takes away from awkward silence, it loosens people up, and it's always awesome to see everyone's moves! 🕺🤣 Dereick was a huge part of making our wedding a blast!!
Sidenote: not that you should ever book anyone because of their appearance, but I can't tell you how many women asked me, "who is your DJ?!" He was professional....the ladies (young and old) at our wedding...not so much haha. I heard everything from, "he isn't hard on the eyes" to "I have to think of a song so that I can go talk to him!" 🤦♀️🤣 And men, please don't read this and be threatened. He's a cool dude. He is there to play music, not hit on your girl. It's a win-win and you can't go wrong with booking him!

Derrick made my birthday party exactly what my wife and I imagined. His attentiveness and punctuality in responses was excellent, considering our apprehension to using a DJ, I'm sure we weren't easy to deal with when it came to questions; he was patient and informative. Not to mention, pretty much the best price I could find. Derrick was the perfect host and life of the party for us, the playlist was on point. We were impressed by his speaker and light set up, simplistic but perfect for the party/dance area. Overall he truly made the night more fun, and I might even have to make it a tradition now. If you're looking for a DJ for a small to medium event then Fatz Soundz is the way to go.
