FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Its not complicated, actually it pretty easy. I use a software called Exactimate that is updated daily on prices in every area of the country. This way I cant give an estimate that is higher than it should be.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I fully remodeled a house for my dad in Fountain, Colorado which there are pictures of on Fariss Constructions Facbook page. It was quite the dump at first but when it was done I wanted to buy it.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You always get what you pay for! Sometimes you cant see a job done wrong right away because in construction things can be hidden. For Example, you have a new tile floor installed and the person working on your floor decides not to glue the hardie backer and just screws it, lays the tile and calls it done. The job looks great at first but after walking on that floor for a while the tiles start to crack because there is nothing holding down the hardie backer board between the screws which allows movement underneath the tile. You might have got the job done for a low, low price but you also got what you paid for. Once my customers have worked with me on a project they become repeat customers.
