I can't even begin to describe the amazing experience I had with Colorado Consultants For Roofing. It started off as a small repair with a local contractor that quickly grew into a new roof. I had some issues with the contractor, and called Steve because I had known him from previous jobs over the years. He came out and thoroughly picked apart the roof. All i asked for was a general look and he came back with the most detailed report I've ever read. It felt like reading a case study! Even though I had researched roofs for 2 months before hiring a roofer, I learned more in the hour it took to read his report then all those wasted day.s If only I had hired him first. After the other roofer got his report, he sent away his subcontractor and came out personally to meet me. When Steve heard, he came out, for free, to help. By the time they got through talking, the roofer had agreed to get the roof fixed according to the report, and give me an upgrade on my gutters (They were gonna have to replace their work anyway, but they gave me 6" seamless instead of 4" seamless AND upgraded the downspouts to match as an apology). At this point, I went from scared customer of a bad roofer, to absolutely thrilled about my new roof. Steve flew his drone for free giving me hundreds of beautiful photos, gave me information on how to read infrared scans, and taught me to how pick out my next contractor. I paid $140 for everything, including 3 trips to my property. I would have paid more than that just for the drone pictures! I'm almost looking forward to calling them out to inspect my roof next hailstorm. Informative, polite, prompt. I can't say it enough how amazing these guys are.

These guys were here right when they said they would be -- everything they quoted was included and even the price they agreed to (NTE) they stuck to. I would use them every opportunity I have moving forward needing their assistance. Really appreciate their respect for distancing and mask wearing as well --- hire them!!!

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My minimum price for a site visit is usually $160, that includes a minimum 5 page inspection report, drone inspection, Thermographic Scan (aka infrared moisture scan), and a folder containing a minimum 200 photos of your roof that you can use to showcase your property. Now that minimum is for properties in El Paso County, with roofs under 2000 square ft. for each additional 500 sq ft, we charge an additional $40 dollars. If you are outside el paso County, I usually charge $40 per hour drive, but this might vary for longer distances or larger jobs. For roof design, I charge $40 per hour in office, $60 an hour on site. and no, I don't take breaks or inflate your time, I try to keep my costs bare minimum on designs and they usually cost between $100 to 200 for residential properties and $400 to 1200 on commercial jobs. If you and your neighbor(s) get work the same day, I'll discount everyone's. I also offer rebates if you refer customers. Your neighbors 6 miles away? That's fine. my discount applies as long as your within 10 miles of each other. Need a certification on your roof to go with your inspection, either to help sell the property or to give you peace of mind? It will cost 25% the cost of the inspection report (so $200 minimum).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First, I need to know why you're calling a consultant. Most customers fit into 5 categories: 1. I'm about to do my roof, and I want someone to write the scope so u get the best roof, at a cost-effective installation with a contractor I can trust. - We have documented installations from hundreds of roofers and have done thorough background checks. Not only do we have in-depth knowledge to get you the absolute best roof for your property, but we will even know which contractors to invite to bid and which ones to block their numbers. 2. My roof was just installed and I want to verify the condition. - Roof Inspections have dozens of sources to reference, from codes to manufactures. We will look at your contract to make sure they didn't violate any laws before we inspect the roof detail by detail, making a full report in what is good and bad, and if it is bad we will help you hold the contractor accountable. In the extremelyrare circumstance that goes to court, we will be happy to attend and break down step by step for the lawyers and judges to understand exactly what is required and owed. We have stood in courtrooms before over roofing quality, and our proud to say our clients have NEVER lost a single trial. 3. I need to know if my roof needs replaced from a source that isn't looking to earn commission. - From infrared moisture scans, a thorough in- person inspection, and a drone flight, we look at your roof from every angle and give you an honest and obligation free report. 4. I am selling/ buying a home and need someone to inspect and certify the condition. - On top of the inspections described above, we end our reports by certifying your roof, protecting the property and assuring the new homeowner is protected. Our reports will detail out years of expected maintenance, the condition of the roof, and can certify its condition up to 10 years, depending on its condition. 5. Can you teach our maintenance men to do roof repairs and maintenance so we aren't spending hundreds/ thousands a year? - Every roof is different. While we always do our best to train you and your staff, please understand we take every training opportunity as a unique building. We cannot describe this process without seeing the roof first.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?It would take a day to describe my certifications as an individual, let alone the companies. Let's do some highlights: I'm a: -Haag Certified Commercial Roof Inspector -NRCA certified trainer in thermoplastic materials and roof repairs -RCI recognized roof consultant -Member of the International Code Council -Member of AIA -Trained Thermographic Interpreter -Over 200 courses completed -Overseen over 6000 projects without lawsuit -0 BBB or HA complaints. -4.85/5 star average on Home Advisor, and a perfect 5 on Google. -I have never had an insurance claim on my record - Colorado native but attended classes internationally.
