I don’t leave reviews often, but I do feel Jeffrey deserves one. I felt very comfortable asking any questions I had, wether it was 1 or 30 questions. He doesn’t pressure you into anything, and gives his appreciated professional advice. Jeffrey is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and easy to work with. Anyone looking to hire a law firm, Jeffrey is the one.

I'm sure if you are reading this review you are having the same problem I did trying to find and hire the best attorney out there we'll I'll be honest with you I definitely feel like I made the right choice by hiring randy and his team. So far they have been outstanding. From the moment I called to see about a consolation tana was amazing. Over the phone she made me feel like I was taking to a friend or a family member not just some law firm where I felt uncomfortable to tell them a about a part of my life. And when I had my free consolation over the phone with randy I hired him the same day that should tell you alot about him if all it took was one phone call. I looked for a couple of weeks but definitely found the right firm. He seems really knowledgeable and an aggressive lawyer he gives me hope and at the end of the day right now that's what I need.

Recently I was represented by Ryan Peterson Law in a DUI case. Mr. Peterson treated me very respectfully throughout the process which took 9 month to complete. His performance was outstanding. His knowledge of the law is superb. His flat fee made it easy to afford to defend myself. Never did he spend money for additional services without first obtaining my approval. In the end Mr. Peterson obtained a plea of reckless driving with no fines and I get to keep my license. I would highly recommend utilizing his services if you find yourself staring at a DUI. H. I highly recommend Nicholas Lubchenco for representation. He helped me from the moment I called and made introductions, striking me at the get-go as somebody who was down-to-earth and willing to fight to win. He's helpful, intelligent, and has a sense of humor. I met him several times leading up to my DUI trial (refusal-based) and he was always available with as much time as needed to devise strategies moving forward. I made the decision to take my case to trial and Nick was motivated and prepared every step of the way to represent me. He was articulate and comfortable on the courtroom floor, and fought my case all the way to an acquittal. If you're looking for an attorney with experience and knowledge, uninhibited by ego or high rates, who will have the gumption and ability to fight your case and win, I can't recommend Mr. Lubchenco enough or the LKB law firm.

I was dealing with a Domestic Violence matter, and Curt was recommended by a family friend. While I was a bit hesitant hiring someone purely based on recommendation for the charges I was facing, after my initial consultation, I hired him immediately. The moment we stepped into the court room and he was happily greeted by every attorney there, I knew I made the right choice. His poise, knowledge of the law, and most importantly, years of experience as a prosecutor for the D.A.'s office made the entire experience go incredibly well. He is a highly respected member of the legal community in Denver, an excellent trial attorney and litigator, and with his expert counsel I felt very confident in every decision we made.

The O'Connell Law Firm was ON it! I was rear-ended at high-speed, and my car was totaled. They not only took over immediately, but long after they got my case settled, they continued to deal with all of those (non-stop) letters/bills from insurance and medical companies. They made my life go from stressful.. to easy! I loved being able to have someone ELSE handle the mess! Thanks again!~ Susan

At the end of my options rope, I found Scott Dennison Law in the phone book and called as a last resort. Several other attorneys who had done work for me or were personally referred said my situation had no solution. Scott talked to me about the details of my problem and then explained a few details that might form the basis of a legal appeal. He was clear it was a long shot, working through judges to overturn decisions they had recently made, but said there was a legal argument. He was clear about the cost and unclear potential for a positive outcome. At the end of my rope, I decided to go ahead and to contract with Dennison Law, knowing the outcome couldn't be guaranteed and this was a firm plucked from a phone book. Let me say that every long-shot judge decision reversal happened! Everything I had hoped for that the other attorneys said was not possible resulted from Scott Dennison's legal work on my behalf. For my situation to resolve, certain documents had to be submitted on certain dates. All the dates were met. Scott had a strategy for writing the documents, which he explained. He attended the hearings that were required. He later explained his strategy for testifying at the hearings. He certainly had a strategy for his written and oral communications. I found the contract for services a little confusing, but since I wrote contracts for a living, Scott was even responsive to my editorial comments. He seemed quite patient but balanced in terms of not wasting time on the clock. Every situation is different and not all resolve perfectly, but my rating based on my situation and outcome would be A+. I would use Scott Dennison Law again without question. I cannot think of any way the services could have been better quality. I might add that I have worked with attorneys for forty years in my administrative work. A+ was my experience.

Birk is a real rarity - a lawyer that actually cares about you and your case. Birk and his firm worked hard to make sure to get the best outcome possible and important decisions were always thoroughly explained to me. Although I did not have an ideal legal battle, this was due to a biased judge, and I am confident that the firm did everything in their power to help me. I would recommend Baumgartner Law without reservation.

Ventola Law is well rounded in all aspects of Business Law to ensure you have the best information to make the right choice with your legal decisions and actions pertaining to your scenario. The "right choice" for me was the education Mr. Ventola provided saving time I thought would be in court or buried in legal documentation allowing me to stay focused on my business and not to mention, saving money by minimizing, in some instances avoiding, court and legal fees I may have been obligated to pay had I gone with another practice or acted on my own behalf. Knowledgeable, Honest, Efficient, Cost-Effective and Great People is how I would describe Ventola Law!

I could tell you how that thanks To Mr. Buckley, I walked out of the courtroom today due to a DWAI probation revocation. Because of his attention to detail, I am able continue my life. Or I could tell you about how he was recently asked to speak at Harvard Law School because of being a great attorney with an incredible background. He's a family man who is well spoken, intelligent and punctual. He went above and beyond, helping me on a very short term notice. I hope to never need an attorney again, but if I do, I'd want John on my team. Thanks John!

Mark E. Kraynak represented me in a criminal case where I was charged with a slew of felonies. I give him 5 out of 5 stars. The case was resolved by a plea bargain where all of the felony charges were dismissed. I pled guilty to a single low level misdemeanor on the first day of the jury trial. Here are a few of the many positive things I have to say about Mr. Kraynak: * Mark Kraynak will fight for you. He discovered that the police failed to preserve and/or destroyed critical evidence. This in turn no doubt gave us substantial leverage to negotiate such a favorable plea deal. * Mark simultaneously represented me in an administrative law case which was related to the criminal case, and he did a super job in the admin case as well. * He’s accessible and available 24/7 365, if necessary. There was not a single time that I contacted Mark where he did not promptly get back in touch with me. * Mark is a blue-collar lawyer. He worked very hard on my behalf to get a great result in my case. * Mark Kraynak is good guy. He’s easy to get along with and very professional. C.R., Denver, CO

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does an immigration attorney do?

Immigration lawyers help their clients through all phases of the immigration process. Experts on immigration law, they are legally qualified to represent U.S. citizens, permanent residents or undocumented immigrants. Immigration lawyers also provide assistance to visitors here on student, work or travel visas, and can represent clients who may have an expired visa or who have overstayed their visa.

You can hire an immigration lawyer to assist you with petitioning for renewing a permanent resident or green card, navigating the naturalization process, submitting an employee-based petition for a work visa, filing a petition for a family member, or representing you or a loved one who is facing detention or deportation, as well as replacing, extending or changing a current visa, green card or work permit. The immigration process is highly complex, with multiple hearings, paperwork and requirements. Hiring a legal expert to represent you can help you make your best effort in the process. When researching immigration lawyers, it is very important to verify their qualifications and find a reputable attorney. Read reviews and verify that the immigration lawyer is licensed by your state before paying any fees.

How do you find a good real estate lawyer?

If buying or selling property feels overwhelming and the thought of finding a good real estate lawyer seems daunting, you’re in luck. There are some simple steps to follow for finding a trustworthy, affordable real estate lawyer to help with your property and legal needs.

  • Determine what kind of real estate lawyer you need. Many states require a real estate attorney to handle sale closing documents. For more complex matters such as a real estate deal gone awry or foreclosure, you’ll want to find an attorney who has successfully handled cases like yours.
  • Look for online reviews of real estate lawyers in your area. Verify that they have proven experience closing or winning cases like yours and that they are in good standing with the state bar association.
  • Choose two or three lawyers to interview. Many offer a free consultation to learn about your case and provide information about rates. For standard real estate closing services, in-depth interviewing might not be necessary.
  • Ask about their rates and whether they charge by the hour or provide services for a flat fee. Ask whether a retainer is required, and what the total bill should be for a case like yours.
  • Ask for a write-up of the services that will be covered by the projected costs.
  • Make sure you like the real estate agent and they treat you with respect. Confirm whether they or another person will be working on your case and make sure you’re comfortable with all members of their team.
  • Pay the retainer and hire your lawyer.

What is a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer fights on your behalf if you’ve been injured physically, psychologically, economically or in reputation. This injury may be the result of neglect or malicious intent of another person, or it could be at the hands of a business, government or other entity. Personal injury lawyers specialize in tort law, which is the law of civil wrongs like car accidents, company wrongdoing, unlawful imprisonment and more.

To become qualified to be a personal injury lawyer in the United States, a person must earn a bachelor’s degree, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from a law school. Most states then require the person to pass the bar exam to become licensed to practice law. Unlike many attorneys who require a retainer, personal injury lawyers often work on contingency fees. This means that in lieu of payment upfront, they receive an agreed-upon percentage of the settlement in case of a win.

What does a real estate lawyer do?

A real estate lawyer represents their client’s best interest in all matters related to the sale, purchase and ownership of real estate. They are experts in real estate law. In states that require a real estate lawyer to close home sales, the lawyer must review and finalize all documents before the deal can be legally completed. Real estate lawyers also help clients legally protect their rights when entering, exiting or renegotiating a real estate deal. You can hire a real estate lawyer as an individual or as a business. A real estate lawyer can help with negotiation, addressing mortgage fraud, managing foreclosures and bankruptcy, transfers of titles and deeds, property ownership disputes, zoning issues, creating a co-ownership contract for joint purchase of a property, and much more. Real estate lawyers can also protect you from issues that result when a known problem was not properly disclosed by the previous owner. Overall, real estate lawyers are an added cost when it comes to buying and selling property, but they also ensure your best interests are met, and that you and the people you are doing business with comply with the law.

What should you look for in a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer will advocate for your legal rights if you’ve been hurt in an accident at work or in daily life, have suffered from medical malpractice, or are struggling to have your insurance carrier cover your needs. It may be helpful to talk with two or three lawyers before selecting one. When looking for a personal injury lawyer, research their reviews and make sure former clients have had good experiences with them. Next, make sure the personal injury lawyer has experience and proven success winning cases similar to yours. Confirm that the lawyer is licensed to provide services in your state. When you find a qualified personal injury lawyer with whom you want to work, freely discuss payment and fees before any work begins. Most lawyers offer a free consultation to learn what your case is about and explain their rates. Personal injury attorneys typically receive a percentage of your settlement (called a contingency fee), so they are paid after the trial or case is complete. Keep in mind that some attorneys have fees that you must pay even if you don’t win your trial. It’s important to understand these details before work begins so you don’t have any unhappy surprises later. Lastly, it’s wise to choose a personal injury lawyer that you have confidence in and with whom you can communicate openly and honestly.
