FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I prefer "value" pricing. I give a menu of features included in each value package and the clients receive a far better deal for the cost. All packages include: bank account reconciliations, month-end adjusting entries, daily download of banking transactions, financials, year-end adjusting entries and financials, and preparation of information for your tax preparer. They also include at least 1 hour of e-mail based support for any questions, problems, or troubleshooting. Some packages include payroll preparation for an additional fee. The cost of the software "cloud-based" subscription is included in the monthly package. While I do not currently provide income tax return preparation, I do refer my clients (or anyone inquiring) to an excellent tax CPA, Eileen Richards. I'd be happy to refer you to her at any time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I provide a 1/2 hour free consultation with any prospective client to determine what services they would most benefit from. I will ask quite a few questions. I do charge for initial set-up of your books but from that point, I charge either a flat hourly rate (plus any expenses) or a "value price" package (plus any expenses) on a monthly rate. I work through a checklist of needs and then we can determine your "wishes" versus "needs". My goal is to provide you optimal service for a cost-effective price.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I belong to the National Advisor Network which keeps all Intuit/Quickbooks ProAdvisors up to date on the latest information in the world of online accounting. I belong to the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Regis University.
