PLANS FOR SALE: I started my solo practice in January 2001 and after 25 years of designing Custom Colorado Homes, I'm looking for homeowners & contractors who want to build my UNBUILT already-designed homes (and 2 Lodges), ranging from 500-11,000 SF.
After working collaboratively with clients & contractors on homes that weren't built, i'm making them available to those wanting to save time in the design & drawing Process.
The process is simple: review and pick a house design which I can adjust to fit your lot before providing a permit set for construction. If your neighborhood has a Design Review Committee, we can discover design options to meet the Guidelines.
I recently finished a Modern Mountain Home Collection including Designs ranging from 2000-4200 sf and 3Beds/3Baths to 5Beds/5baths, with 1+2 car garages for Flat or Sloped sites. (2 of 10 home designs included here).
I am also putting together collections of Urban Homes, Mountain Homes, Micro-Cabins (<1000sf) and A-Frames (1000-2000sf).

Andrew was excellent to work with. We wanted to turn our garage into a more usable space (gym, office, storage) and our original plans didn't fit the bill. Andrew was able to review the work previously done, and come up with a solution that not only worked well for us, but considered the use of this space for a future owner. That was incredibly helpful to us, since we do hope to resell our home several years from now, and were worried our own uses might make it more challenging for a future homeowner and how they'd like to use the space. Andrew was responsive, kind, and professional, and I'd love to work with him again on a future project.

We are in the last phases of submitting for a building permit for our 600 SF master suite addition. Andrew has been great to work with. He has brought a good design eye into our addition, has also accounted for our requirements, and valued engineered the design. He has helped us throughout the design and submittal process. We are very happy to be working with him and wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again!

We had Andrew draw plans for a remodel of a bungalow. We ended up with our dream house. He showed us possibilities we had not thought of. As a result of our brainstorming with Andrew, there were numerous iteration of the plans. While the iterations added to the cost, they were well worth it to get a better house than what we had in mind when we started the project.

Andrew James Abraham is a true find if you are in the market for an architect! His creativity and problem solving skills are second to none when it comes to architecture. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
1) Cost/Square Foot ($/SF) for Existing Designs.
2) Hourly ($/HR) for changes to the design to fit you, your lot, design guidelines and Building Department.
If you are interested in one of my already-designed houses, we can save time/fees by starting with that design and brainstorm how it might fit you and your site.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After 25 years of solo practice, i'm changing how i work for a more efficient, creative and affordable process: by making past designs available for you to build. To do this, i would show you a range of designs that i've already created and if you're interested, we'll adapt one of those to fit you and your lot.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati (Bachelor of Architecture) where i alternated School & Work quarters, and Yale University (Masters of Architecture) which helped me develop my creative process.
After interning, i passed State Architecture Exams and annually complete Continued Education requirements that meet State & American Institute of Architects guidelines.
