Hello my name is Alex Goldberg and I am a professional musician and educator. I have been a full time professional bassist for fifteen years and am currently enrolling students for private lessons on Zoom as well as in person in Brooklyn N.Y.
Lessons are designed to work with the students goals and interests. In the lessons we spend time learning the songs students love. We also focus on jazz, classical, blues, rock, hip-hop and other popular styles of music. Students are taught music theory and how to apply directly it to the music they are interested in playing. We also focus on how to read music and charts as well as other helpful tools for playing gigs. I provide a fun, low pressure atmosphere and offer lessons to all age groups and playing abilities. I play close to 200 gigs a year and I bring my experience of being a professional musician into the lesson! I have performed with artists like Adam Sandler, Kevin James, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and countless rock, jazz, blues, funk, folk and hip hop artists.
