Introduction: My name is Guy and I run Carbon Based Designs. I am a one man shop where I build custom furniture, tables, cabinets, vanities, mantels etc. I also do installs and smaller scale remodel jobs, for bathrooms as well as kitchens including demo, tile, waterproofing, plumbing and some electrical. I cannot understate how awesome it is to work with Guy. He is always on time, is easy to talk to about my home projects, and is really knowledgeable about his craft. He does something I have never experienced before, which is sending short videos to help me understand my options and the process to build custom wood pieces for my home. As a woman, it is a really empowering feeling to be educated in such a gentle way by a professional, and for the purpose of us continuing the design conversation. I genuinely appreciate his attention to detail. It is clear he cares about the quality of his work, as well as how I feel about the final product. We hired him to make a custom mantle and bookshelves now, and have already been discussing future plans for custom furniture and a one-of-a-kind camper buildout so I can have a mobile office and work in nature. I cannot recommend Guy enough. He’s great!

Guy is excellent! He is very knowledgeable about woodworking and plumbing. We appreciate his communication in advance and timely arrival. He even stayed later to install a pull out trash/recycle cabinet in our kitchen, which was above and beyond our initial project request. Next, we plan to work with him to create a custom closet for our master bedroom and have full confidence that it will be exceptional work. Highly recommend!!!
