Introduction: Whether I am coaching an individual, a couple or a work team, I am constantly listening for the Brilliance. I am also listening for the perspectives or ideas that hinder or limit the expression of that brilliance. Then, together, we shift or dissolve limiting ideas and put new perspectives and questions in place that draw a person, a couple or a team into new possibilities that weren't available before. When I'm speaking to a group, I'm urging and inspiring each person in the audience to bring forth their unique, one-of-a-kind brilliance. Witnessing the light go on when you recognize more of you! Working with Ann has been a life-changing experience. At first, when I did my SF assessment, my strengths seemed interesting, and although they made sense, I did not fully resonate with them. After one session with Ann, my life shifted. My light bulb went on, giving me permission to wholeheartedly be ME and stop trying to fit into everyone else's mold or be something I'm not. As I continue to work with Ann and my strengths, my life gets richer and deeper with more appreciation for why I do what I do, and why no one else is like me. Despite a few experiences working with coaches, I had not worked with a coach using StrengthsFinder. It has been epiphany after epiphany and genuinely changed my perspective, my thinking, and my approach to all facets of my life. I have really enjoyed working with Ann as she is equal part examiner and enabler. She has helped me better think through my own thoughts, goals, and direction. And, she has a subtle way of helping me get out of my way to enable action. I certainly recommend working with Ann.

I've always known I've had a different outlook and felt out of place because I was the "crazy thinker" in the room. Ann's assessment provided huge insight into who I am and helped me embrace my uniqueness. By embracing my strengths I'm more focused and clear on who I am and what I'm supposed to do. I am so lucky to have found Ann Strong as a life coach and business coach. After having gone back and forth for months trying to get my "ducks in a row" and figure out what to do next in my business, I finally realized that I needed some advice and input into my situation. Because of some emotional "hits" that I've taken over the past couple of years, I felt like I was just spinning my wheels. I realize that many of us cannot see our own situation when we are emotionally caught up in it. Sometimes it takes an outside "eye, ear and heart" to help guide us on our journey. Ann is that person for me. I needed someone that didn't just give me a "list of things to do" because I already know many of those things, but I was getting in the way of my own self. Ann is helping me fine-tune my natural skills and gifts and directing those in a way that helps me and my business. She helps to keep me "real" and to see things in their proper perspective, and she does this in a very patient, kind, nurturing and spiritual manner. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken two advanced StrengthsFinder trainings. I am a certified Strengths Strategy coach and member of the Trusted Advisors Network in New Mexico. An experiential learner, I constantly create new tools and bring together strengths, psychology and spirituality in my work.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was 22, I wanted to start a business called the Listening Post. I didn't start that business because I didn't think anyone would believe that a 22-year-old wanted to listen to them. :) The profession of coaching didn't even exist then. Fast forward to 1997. I hired my first business coach and fell in love with coaching as a client. I then transitioned my own business from marketing consulting to business and life coaching and have never looked back.
What types of customers have you worked with?
1. Business owners moving through growth, transition and/or loss to clarity, confidence and calm. 2. Individuals finding/creating a meaningful business or fulfilling work. 3. Couples understanding each other better and dramatically improving communication.
