Cathy has a unique approach to teaching partner dance. Focusing on "Social Dancing" as opposed to "competitive dancing", She teaches how to dance with any partner to any song rather than memorizing steps and routines for only one. Emphasis is on having fun while learning the techniques of movement, leading and following, partnering, musical expression. She gives you the tools to learn to dance smooth and naturally and to develop your own creativity with confidence. This is not a "Studio". We do not require contracts. Professionally trained in American and International Styles of Ballroom and Latin, Swing, Night Club, Country Western, and Victorian/Historical dances. I have been teaching partner dancing in Colorado for over 40 years. Social dancing has been an important part of the building of communities throughout our history. The love of dance was passed on to me from my grandfather and my mother. I feel a responsibility to keep social dancing alive in our communities for the generations. I believe anyone who can walk can dance. My greatest reward is to bring the natural dancer out in those students who think they cannot dance. I see joy in young and old alike in being able to move to music with another person and I see the physical, mental, and psychological health benefits that come from dance. What's not to love about sharing that with others?
