Deannah Strashnikova was born and grew up in Bulgaria, Europe. She began practicing Dancesport at the age of six and started competing a couple of years later. She is a Standard and Latin Champion and a Finalist in many European Ballroom competitions.
Deannah graduated from the National Sports Academy in Bulgaria as a Dancesport coach and moved to the United States in 2008. She is a certified dance instructor in 4 styles (International Latin and Standard and American Smooth and Rythym). For many years Deannah was a dance instructor and the Dance Director at Booth Dancesport Ballroom. Deannah Strashnikova is an American Rhythm and Smooth Professional dancer and has been a Finalist in many American competitions. Deannah's passion is sharing her vast knowledge with people and showing them the amazing world of dance.

We love Deannah! We went to her lessons to practice our first dance for our wedding. She was really helpful, fun, and a great teacher. If you’re looking for dancelessons as a couple she’s the perfect instructor.

Deanna was so great to work with. She helped choreograph our first dance and made it so much fun! My fiance and I have never had dancelessons before and she made it so easy to learn. Not only did we accomplish our main objective, we had a great time doing it.

YOU CANT GO WRONG!! I never write reviews but if your needing basic dance moves or a elaborate choreographed dance, Deannah is your gal!! I can’t quite be more appreciative of our weddingdancelessons with Deannah!! This was one of the highlights during our wedding planning. Trust me, we went in with zero expectations, and just needing to get some rhythm down before our wedding, so we weren’t just swaying back and forth during our first dance!
Me and my fiancé initially went just learn some basic dance moves, and it slowly evolved into a dance routine! It was SO fun, and we got to practice at home, and we recently did it at the wedding, and it was one of the highlights of the night! Our guests LOVED every second, it was unexpected, and initially thought “is this cheesy” it truly couldn’t have gone better, and we loved it! A whole routine may or may not be for you, but you are in AMAZING hands with Deannah! Honestly, I was worried not being a dancer at all, but she was so easy and wonderful to work with! We took 6 lessons with her, she was always punctual, and always happy and joy to work with! She made it so fun, and positive, and the hour passed so quickly. She listened, and created a unique routine just for us, and what we we’re comfortable with. She knows all styles of dance, and will help you with your song selection or suggestions if needed. As well as patience with our inexperience lol. She is also so fairly priced.
If your thinking about it, it’s completely worth it, and is one of the more fun parts of wedding planning that you and your partner will probably laugh and enjoy together! It was something we looked forward to every Tuesday, and even the most inexperienced person will learn with Deannah! 10/10 recommend!

Diana is an amazing dance teacher!! I have a wedding coming up and my fiancé and I took 3 lessons. She helped us get the building blocks together and was very good at guiding us both on rhythm, movement, and coordination! She has such great energy and was absolutely professional! I recommend her for anyone wanting to learn how to dance!
