WE (myself & my wife who work together) ARE NOT just "button pushing DJ's" who just sit behind the DJ Booth, making announcements and playing music. ~ We get out from behind the DJ Table and interact with your guests - Professionally Classy: NOT Cheap & Cheesy! ~ We get your guests involved in your Wedding Reception! ~ We encourage your guests participation in your Event Activities by keeping them informed of your upcoming Event Activities - BEFORE they happen! ~ We include the Wedding Day Director for the Rehearsal, Ceremony & Reception! ~ We also include Line Dancing instructions!! ~ We also work with kids during events to keep them busy and to have fun also! We love the music and how it makes other want to dance or sing, or whatever they wish to do. Every Wedding is different and we like it that way!

Ray/Diane/Blue Sky DJ were selected after acquiring a list from the internet. They had the best website/price/pitch. We instantly warmed to them. They offered to supervise the wedding [except the Pastor's part] to free us up to enjoy and participate in the wedding and we accepted with confidence. They were professional, accurate and fun. Everyone raved about our wedding being one of the best. Their suggestions, communication, music, and sound quality was exactly what we wanted and exceeded expectations. Working with Blue Sky was a real pleasure. Ray provided music and lights for a special private birthday party at our home. He is professional, conscientious, reliable, and knows how to have a good time. He used our customized play list and mixed-in his own recommendations to keep everyone dancing. The lights provided extra ambiance for the party. Ray and his wife Diane make a great team and are sure to make your party special. I would highly recommend Ray and would use him for any event requiring a DJ. Two thumbs up!

Our wedding reception was on October 22, 2011. Ray did a FANTASTIC JOB! He showed up on time, had everything set up and played the part. We had a vintage carnival theme and he made announcements like a we were at a carnival. He played all requested music. His partner got people up on the dance floor. He really got the party started. He even worked with me when I had to change venues. Ray is such a nice guy and knows how to make the night special and one nobody will forget. He is priced very well and is flexible to work with. If you are in need of a DJ, Ray will give you everything you want and more with his service. All of my guests were raving at the end of the night about how personal and comfortable the DJ made the night.

Ray and his wife were absolutly amazing. They took time out of their schedules to teach my father-in-law and my wife their first dance which was a hit with the crowd. They worked with us with everything we needed and wanted to be done. The equipment they was great including their lights that went with the beat of the songs. They were great with the guests. Ray and his wife played song request after song request. They made it very personal. What we loved the most is Ray did a little background story about us before he introduced the wedding party. We only told him dates and background about us. We also told him our engagement date and location. He went beyound and did research about the location and told a beautiful story before he introduced us. This showed us how much he cared for his client and how dedicated he is to his work. He is definitely the DJ you would want at your wedding or event. If I ever need a DJ again, I will be giving him a call.

I contacted Ray Stengl of Blue Sky Disc Jockey Services in late July to see if he was the right one to provide sound and DJ services for my September 28th (2013) wedding. Honestly, it might have been the single best decision I made throughout the course of preparing for my special day. He and his wife, Diane, started out by asking all the right questions (ones I had not thought of). They mentored me through the planning process, and were available for light & sounds checks, as well as rehearsals with the vocalists (A HUGE thank you to Diane for helping coordinate the sequence of events for the ceremony - I know it was like herding cats, but the ceremony would not have gone smoothly if you had not stepped in!). The music was perfect, and everything went exactly as planned! And by the way - Ray has a great speaking voice! I had numerous guests come up and tell me what a great DJ I had!! Thank you, Blue Sky Disc Jockey Services - you rock!!!!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    We attend the Wedding & Event Conferences every year, and also take other courses on line as offered by different groups. We belong to the Association of American DJ's and the association of Wedding Consultants.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I got involved in DJ'ing when I was in HS and my wife joined me almost 8 years ago with experience in catering, Wedding & planning business', wedding day director & Event services. We love our work!!!
