The "Impossible" Made Possible: Black 4.0 & Level 5 finish perfection Let me preface with I got multiple bids for this project. I went with Sammie's Archuleta Drywall and Popcorn business based on reviews and photos of his work online. And I'd do it again. I challenged Sammy and Archuleta Drywall with a project known to be 'impossible' in the artist and interior design world: Full popcorn removal and prep for Stuart Semple’s 'Black 4.0' (the world's blackest paint) across 16-foot vaulted ceilings, 2 sets of double hung windows, skylight, and a custom theater. This unique 'void' paint absorbs 99% of light, meaning the drywall prep had to be physically perfect—there is zero room for error. Sammy and his team have this down to a science. They utilized heavy machinery and stilts to buff the surfaces to a flawless, glass-like standard (a true Level 5 Finish) that holds up even under the unforgiving glare of my skylights. Sammy, family and business work ethic is unmatched. He maximized efficiency by rotating to other sites while my high-build mud cured, even returning the same day to keep my timeline moving. They spent 5+ days sanding and buffing my vaulted ceilings throughout. Who else is going to do that for you? Whether you have a routine repair or a 'pushing-the-limits' luxury project, Archuleta Drywall is the only team I trust. They didn't just prep a ceiling; they created a masterpiece. I'll post photos when my other house projects are done.

I would give Sammy and his crew with Archuleta Drywall 10 stars if I could. He removed the popcorn texture, repaired, re-textured, and painted the ceilings throughout our house. We couldn't be happier with the result. I highly recommend him and would re-hire him in an instant. Thank you Sammy!

I am so happy we hired Archuleta Drywall to remove the popcorn ceiling in our front room. Sammy and his team are professional and amazing! They kept me informed about each step in the process, they were diligent in protecting my property and the clean up was exceptional. He went beyond removing and patching and took extra time to do some minor repairs of our drywall. You can tell he wants the job done right. It was a very difficult job as I have vaulted ceilings, but Sammy was prepared and I feel as if I have a new home. His work is "artistic".

Sammy, Rosaura and their crew were great! They spent nearly a week removing the popcorn ceilings from my vaulted foyer and family room, and my entire second floor (four bedrooms and a hallway). They also repainted some tricky parts of my home, as well. They were, punctual, professional, friendly and did a very good job cleaning up afterward. The end product was excellent and I would highly recommend Archuleta Drywall to prospective customers.
