Next Step Building came to give an estimate as they planned to refinish our hardwoods in our 1932 house.They were on time, informative and professional. Originally we wanted a dark stain, but ended up going natural on the floors and the guys were flexible with our decision. Daniil followed up with us about the floors a day after they were done. I was unhappy with some areas that dirt got onto the new floors (under the clear coat) and they came back a day or so later to fix them. They look great! Thanks guys.

The job entailed removal of existing engineered wood, as well as prepping and installation of hardwood (e.g., Elm) across 780 square feet of flooring space. The total elapsed time to completion was around 5 days. Installation took a bit longer because existing flooring was glued to concrete. What impressed me about Daniil was his work ethic and professionalism throughout the process. He was the ONLY bid that provided me with thorough documentation and recommendations. He compiled his quote on site while I waited (about one hour). He worked within my timeline to get the job done. I was so impressed with his work that I recommended him to two friends of mine who are likely to need flooring work done in the next few months. Next Step Building, LLC exceeded my expectations.

Next Step Building LLC did a fantastic job helping me with my project! I needed several pieces of lumber cut at a very specific angle. They responded promptly and completed the job as promised. I used the pieces they cut to build a triangle shelf and it turned out great! Very pleased with this job, they went above and beyond.

Oleg did a great job. He was super friendly and only gave me a little grief for the hack job I was about to do. 2 switches installed and working and troubleshooting a fan setup I had in our kids bedrooms cost a surprisingly small amount. Definitely will be calling these guys again down the road. -Seth Allen

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently we had a 1.5" diagonal installed white oak floor with a 6" inlay border that we had to install flush-mount vents on as well as tear out and lace-in a small area from water damage. After that we sanded, filled, and re-coated the entire floor for a fantastic finished product. Check out the pictures in our portfolio area.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Any customer should check references and evidence of past work as well as meet the contractors in person. Sometimes you will just click better with certain people and it will make the job significantly less stressful.
