FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically I try to be very consistent with my pricing. I usually charge $500 for the first day and $300 each additional day for home projects such as bedrooms, living rooms, ect.. For business it's about the same unless there is travel or painting that requires a scaffold, lift or specialized paint.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Do what you love. My dad always said if you can find a way to make money doing what you love.. You will make a better person of yourself and have a happy life. I was in the corporate world for a long time and still did murals when I could. I've been doing them since I was a teenager. My corporate job started to become my my life. 60+ hours a week. My phone was always on. I made crazy money and loved to work but I was essentially working to make a multi billion $ corporation richer. I had no time for my family, my home, my God. I felt like I sold my soul. My amazing husband has been my biggest fan and cheerleader. He encouraged me to do something I loved. I took a chance and a big gamble. Here I am today. No regrets.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I don't think any of them are "common". I've done small (cute mouse house doors) paintings on baseboards up to 2 story high full blown murals.
