- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read a lot of pattern books from the library and find new ones to try online. I usually don't have a hard time figuring out a pattern even without guidance if I have decent close up pictures of the stitches. The main thing I am short on is time to make all of the ideas I have as well as balancing a family and personal life. I check out Etsy and Google Images for design inspiration and to see what is current but I am inspired by many different things including retro photography and couture fashion as well as tribal societies and music. Most of my design tweaks and new ideas come about through trial and error, customer requests and my own fashion experiments.
