Our tutors are experts in understanding what motivates a student and adapting the lesson to most effectively teach the student. The relationship between tutor and student is key. Students learn better when they are learning from someone who they connect with. Elite Math Tutors has a variety of education professionals for you to choose from. Our tutors are professionals. Every one of our tutors has a minimum of a Batchelor's Degree in Mathematics and some are even licensed High School math teachers. We come to you. Our travel to your learning environment of choice is included in our fee. Our first meeting is free. What have you got to lose? Through his fervor for expanding the minds of both young and old, David Michael Scott has created two synergistic businesses, Elite Math Tutors and Fire Heart Adventures. David has an extensive education background, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Outdoor Education from Idaho State University and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a licensed high school math teacher with 20 years of teaching experience and 10 years of math tutoring experience including pre-algebra through calculus, GRE, SAT, and ACT prep. He has hands-on experience working with youth struggling with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and Mood Disorders. He spent several years working with at-risk youth attending a wilderness therapy program in Southern Utah as well as economically disadvantaged youth during his time in the Peace Corps. David has lived all over the world and is proficient in three languages. He is thrilled to combine his passions for teaching and playing in the wilderness with his work life.
