Introduction: I train people not dogs. It's mostly understanding how a dog thinks and what triggers their behavior. Like any relationship, once there is good communication most situations can be fixed. I love dogs, and i always want to see dogs and owners have that special bond.

Eric did an outstanding job with my dog Ranger. Ranger was a stray that I adopted and was really a great dog but had one big issue, he hated when someone new would come over to my house and start to get really aggressive. In our first session Eric came to my house and we started working on a controlled walk around my neighborhood. Within a half our of walking Ranger was staying by my side, not pulling on the leash and sitting when I stopped. Eric had me keep working on that the next couple weeks, and he was slowly getting better and better each day at listening. Our next session we worked on sitting and staying. Ranger was still having trouble with new people coming to the door so Eric had me make him sit and stay while he knocked on the door, came in walked out and did it all over again. The great thing about Eric is he helps train your dog, but he is also training you and let's you know what your doing wrong and how to handle different situations. It's been a few weeks since our last session and Ranger is doing so much better. I can have friends come over without him freaking out and he is a lot less nervous and relaxed which is very nice. I still work on his training every day and thanks to Eric I know Ranger is a much happier dog. I would highly recommend Eric's dog training, and use him again if any other problems arise.

To date we have only had three sessions with Eric. However, our puppy has made some great gains and we are learning a lot. I would have to say Eric is having to train us more than our puppy as she is a much faster learner. We look forward to the training sessions to come and how we and our puppy will continue to grow together!!

We hired Eric to help train our 2 cattle dog mixes. He helped us realize that the root of their behavior issues is not enough exercise, and showed us how to walk in a pack- showing them that we are the leaders and their job is simply to follow. We paid in advance for 4 sessions which gave us a discount, and I think it is a good investment in our future happiness with our dogs.

I can't say enough good things about Eric. He has a holistic approach to training that our dog craves. Eric is basically training the people to understand their dog, and then meet them halfway. The results are nearly immediate and the training sessions are kind and constructive. In just two sessions (so far) We have seen improvements in both the dog's manners and overall happiness. Thank you Eric!

Eric is a GREAT trainer, he's very understanding, and caring, genuinely, to BOTH, your pet and you. He is down to earth, good sense of humor. He has been with us, 2 times so far, and honestly, he TOTALLY taught our boxer so much, ( US AS WELL) in the first session.. We do our homework/ practice with our Hennessey, and she is doing AMAZING!! I will keep him around for as long as possible, and recommend him...to EVERYONE!! 110%.. The Andersons

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to spend some time getting to know them and their dog. Once I understand their relationship then I can explain how we will train. It's important for the owner to feel comfortable with not only me but the training process. I want them to understand that they have to put in the work but the rewards are for a lifetime.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a dog trainer I feel it's important that the trainer's style match the beliefs of the owner. There are many types of effective dog training and one is not better than the other, just a better fit in my opinion. Its good for the owner to ask a lot of questions?
