We design and make invitations, greeting cards, handcrafted gifts, and personal social stationery — in Denver, CO, since 2009! All printing, bindery, and related equipment (including our 1930’s letterpress, Hazel!) are kept in-house at the Idea Chíc stationery boutique to ensure high quality, excellent service, and fast delivery.

Julie was truly a highlight to planning a wedding. She was patient, kind, responsive and is an extremely talented designer. She met with me to understand my vision and perfectly captured all the design for my wedding including invitations, table numbers, place cards, water bottle labels, signage, menus and so much more. As a designer myself, I was so impressed by her attention to detail and her ability to tie everything together so elegantly.I highly recommend idea chic for any design and printing you may need. She is the only person I would go to in Colorado for high quality results.

A boutique experience in simple and elegant work...I discovered Idea Chic in a quest for stationery. I like to regularly write letters to friends and family as it is a more personal expression of care and intent. I visited Julie and David's store and was impressed by their selection and ability to customize personalized stationery. More so, they were mindful, passionate, and caring about the work they did and delivered an elegant result.Recently, I was in need of a birthday greeting card for a milestone birthday. I do not buy cards like this often but when I do, I make sure they are special. I look for artisan work that is original and rare so that the person receiving the card will hopefully be impressed by the thoughtful gesture. Stores that sell this type of product are rarer in recent years so I thought to revisit Idea Chic. I found a lovely and elegant selection of greeting cards in stock and ready to go. I settled on an adorable card printed on wood and knew that of the many birthday cards the recipient would receive, this one would stand out.I recommend that you visit the kind folks at Idea Chic to find your next thoughtful gesture and support a locally owned and operated business. Your dollars always have more weight in your community with local businesses.

My daughter had a specific vision of the wedding invitation that she wanted to send to guests. It entailed the need for co-owner Julie Sandusky to create the invitation, which turned out to be perfect in every conceivable way. I consider the decision to choose Julie to work on the invitation to have been a fantastic one, fulfilling one of my daughter's biggest dreams for her wedding. We also asked Julie to help us with other issues in connection with the wedding. We could not have been happier with the results of every, single project that we entrusted with her. My wife and I found her to be unfailingly pleasant and gracious, notwithstanding the tight timelines involved in several of the projects. I would heartily recommend to one and all that they work with Julie.

IdeaChic is a wonderful print shop! They take a very unique and personalized approach to everything they do! We used them for wedding invites for our ski themed wedding! Julie designed the invite to look like a lift ticket and it was a huge hit! Highly recommend them for any stationary/invite needs!

For a super reasonable price, Julie was willing to work with me to get an ideal custom thank you card. She sent me drafts till we figured out the best one for me! I highly recommend Idea Chc to anyone who wants a more personalized gift.In addition, she also has a really cool mechanical press that embossed this birthday card. Its a bit more money but a unique and customized touch.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our invitation pricing starts at $5 per invitation card for our ready made invitation line. We do full custom work which can range in price from $10 to $75 per invitation. Our hourly rate is $75 per hour for custom design services.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to go through a consultation process either in person or via phone to discuss your invitation or stationery needs. Usually through the consultation we determine what you like and come up with an idea of the design. Once this is determine a written cost proposal and outline is provided to the client. Upon approval, we then start with a deposit payment and begin work on the invitation proofs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in the invitation and stationery industry for 18 years. We have all of our own printing equiptment (which is rare in the stationery industry). We offer full digital and letterpress printing.
