Nathan is a dedicated performer and music educator who has been performing and teaching the saxophone for over 8 years. As a performer Nathan has been featured multiple times on Colorado Jazz Radio station KUVO and in a number of premier jazz clubs in the Denver area. He has also played hundreds of gigs in commercial Wedding Bands, Brass Bands and Funk groups. He received his Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado in 2022 where he was awarded a student Down Beat Award and shared the stage with Jazz royalty. His experiences as both a class room educator, private instructor and working musician give him the insight to help any student get to the level they desire.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $55 for 30min lessons, $65 for a 45min and $75 for an hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a beginning saxophone player, our first lesson will be spent going over the basics of setting up the saxophone, providing tips on how to make it easier to play, and introducing one or two fundamental exercises to get the player on a quick path to success. I will also ask questions about the students musical interests so that we can attach your personal interests to our goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing saxophone for over 16 years and received my Bachelor of Music, with an emphasis in Jazz Studies, from the University of Northern Colorado. There I was privileged to learn from some of the best jazz faculty and students in the country, and played in its top ensembles. From Dana Landry, Andy Dahlke, Drew Zaremba and a number of others I became proficient in jazz saxophone, composition, history and theory, all of which I continue to practice and grow in outside of school.
