I bid the job out to 3 contractors - one showed up for the estimate and then I never heard from him again, the second one gave me a price without seeing the attic, and the third was Insulation Station who showed up the next day on time for the estimate and sent me their bid the following day. Their bid was the higher of the ones I received but it was worth it to have a crew of 3 or 4 here for a few hours, diligently prepping the attic, and then getting the insulation up to R-60.
