I tried for over a year to replace my old desk but couldn't find anything I wanted. Everything seemed to be particleboard on metal frames for gaming. I finally decided to hire a carpenter to build what I wanted but then came the next challenge - no one builds furniture anymore! (I mean come on folks, Jesus was a carpenter, it's a good profession ...) I finally found JV Timberworks on Thumbtack who told me he could build it. Basically, the design was for two computer tables to make an L-shape, the main one with a built-in, retractable keyboard tray and the smaller one for my printer. I could see it in my mind's eye but honestly had no idea how beautiful it would turn out. The tables are a deep, rich wood with rounded edges, and the legs in a box design for sturdiness but only add to its beauty. He rescued my poor file cabinet whose back wheel had been ripped off in my move, replacing all the wheels and staining it to match the new desk. And he built a monitor riser to match everything. I was really blown away by how beautiful everything is, the craftsmanship is perfect, and the pictures hardly do it justice. I'm so happy I found JV Timberworks. And happy we still have one carpenter with us!

Jeremy did a great job on some customcabinet doors we needed. We had some ‘between the studs’ storage built in one of our kitchen walls and they needed unique size doors to fit them. We went with JV Timberworks after seeing several good reviews. Jeremy was fair in his pricing, quick to make and install the doors and great with communication. We are happy with our doors and are excited to paint them for the final touch.

We took out an existing very old closet and glass sliding doors and took a custom built closet to the ceiling to maximize space. For a small room we needed bifold doors but couldn’t find any over 9ft, so we asked for custombuilds! They are beautiful and they totally change the space!

We commissioned Jeremy to make a custom bed for our boys. We wanted something other than the conventional bunk bed. Jeremy came up with this beautiful design and executed his build beautifully! I now have 4 little ones and the beds have stood up to all the abuse four toddlers could possibly bestow.The entire experience working with him was amazing from start to finish. I will be using timber works for all of my future woodworking needs.
