FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Well, every project is different in it's entirety. For electrical installations it depends on how simple or complex the job may be. Is it a simple outlet to be added where there is an accessible ceiling/attic? Or is it a a job which will need drywall ripped out and replaced after? I've come across many different scenarios in my 9 yrs in the trade and some are nice and easy, and some are not. I always cut the price back if you have multiple items and can be done in one day, such as changing outlets or light fixtures, but if your project requires multiple visits, such as a remodel, prices rise of course. I can do free estimates and as well as do them over remote services, but remember that is an estimate. Final prices will be determined and reviewed with you before any work starts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to do estimates face to face with my clients, so if they are not satisfied, I can make changes on the spot. I would get an extensive knowledge of their wants and needs, and would write a detailed itemized list of everything they would be paying for. I pride myself on keeping customers, so I never try to sell you more than you need or want. I go over all my prices and procedures before you ever sign and don't mind if you need to think it over before you decide.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
To obtain a Journeyman Electrician License in Colorado you must complete; 4000 hrs of schooling and 8000 hrs of on the job training, as well as pass a Journeyman Electricians Exam, which was no easy task. I completed my 4 yrs of schooling through CITC (Construction Industry Training Council of Colorado) and was employed by one of the top electrical contractors in Colorado for the past 9 yrs which included my 8000 hrs of OJT (on the job training). On top of that, I have also obtained my NICET II Fire Alarm Systems and hold a current Denver Fire Department Journeyman Installer Card. All of that was made possible by my father and gear head neighbors, which had me under the hood of a car since I was 6 yrs old. I'm great with my hands and can do almost anything.
