FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
To create new and better realities I generally bill hourly CAD modeling services through an invited secure online project task management site. You will be able to monitor burned budget hours from your tasks which are clearly detailed. When necessary, budget pricing can be requested and achieved within reason. I cost less because there are no employee salaries, benefits, FICA, no rental or other overhead expenses, mainly time savings--no back and forth between departments, miscommunications, others not meeting your deadlines, while I remain in full control of the quality at every stage.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we would sign and secure a non-disclosure document such that an evaluation can be started. While it is suggested to agree to my provided "work contract"-- I first ask, "What is your budget?" A lot more detail, or a little can be accomplished depending on it. When requested, I utilize advanced screen share software to meet customers face to face, detailing in my notebook the important considerations and requests. Then I request an email address and invite you to your project task management intranet site where content is archived. Depending on the phase of your project, I often offer quick "Blue-Sky" concept images with preliminary working drawings, and sometimes animation renderings. Often, I am producing 3D printed prototypes using my in house Formlabs 2 machine or outsourced for more robust materials such as SLS nylon or rubbery TPU. Lastly, your files you will own can be viewed and marked up with free industry standard 3D viewers available on all O.S. platforms.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences specializing in mechanical drawings with more than 33 years of real life successful consumer product design experience, SPECIALIZING IN FULLY INJECTION PLASTICS. I continue to attend industry trade shows, 3D User Group meetings, and keep up to date with manufacturing vendors around the world; specifically in Asia and the United States. I have attained mammoth skill-sets that I will provide for you to design your superior product that you envisioned.
