FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we sit and chat, getting a feel for one another’s energies. It’s important to go into a session feeling acclimated to the room, the process, and each other. Any intentions for healing the client may be holding or thoughts, feelings, questions they have can be shared. It’s important for you as the client to feel fully heard and witnessed as you go into your healing experience! We note together any preferences such as light touch or no touch, lying down or sitting, bolster under the knees or eye pillow over the eyes, crystals to hold or essential oils to breathe in, etc. Sessions can involve talking along the way, meditative silence, and emotional release. We sit together for a bit afterward and share impressions from the session or thoughts on forward progress, if desired. It’s important to feel hydrated and grounded after a session, going back slowly into daily routines. Ideally, you as the client would have some personal time after for continued processing and energetic integration.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Reiki Master level Practitioner and Teacher, trained in the Usui Method of Reiki, and attuned by a wonderful teacher in Boulder, CO. I am also attuned and trained in ICRT Animal Reiki. I work with Holy Fire Reiki as well. In addition, I have a degree in Holistic Wellness/Mind-Body Transformational Psychology through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts based in Tempe, AZ. I have been working with and learning from Reiki energy since 2016, and have loved every moment of it.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell in love with Reiki the first time I experienced a session myself. Its power to heal on any level, according to what is personally needed at the time, amazed and delighted me. I wanted to have a more accessible connection with the energy for reasons of personal healing, so I signed up for classes. I then discovered how much I love sharing the energy with others, and I now do that professionally as much as possible.
