Trout was a mixed bag of an experience, but the highest praise I can give is the care he showed in making things right when things went wrong.
I'm revising my original review because our experience, while initially disappointing, ended on a much better note. There were some significant issues at first, including poor communication and an incomplete delivery of the work we had agreed upon, to name a couple. To his credit, Trout took accountability for any and all shortcomings, responded promptly, resolved the outstanding issues, and provided the additional photos that had been overlooked -- I would be remiss if I did not note that our wedding was in October and it took until July to fully resolve everything, but to Trout's credit, he cared very much to make things right.
I don't believe our experience is necessarily wholistically representative of what every couple can expect when choosing to work with Trout, therefore I would weight it accordingly. That said, the challenges we encountered felt substantial, especially given the importance of a weddingphotographer's role.
In the end, we truly love the vast majority of our photos that Ryan (his photography partner) took, and because of the effort Trout made to address all of the issues that arose, we were able to come away feeling at peace with the overall experience.

Trout Buesser WeddingPhotography is amazing! Trout was very responsive and his work was beyond unbelievable. He truly captured the vibe of our wedding day. I am very thankful for his work, work ethic and talent! I will recommend him to everyone! His second shooter, Brooks, was truly amazing as well! We told them that they HAVE to dance at the wedding as well and they definitely boogied it down while also capturing all the fun moments during the reception. I will look at our wedding gallery forever and ever and will always be thankful for Trout and his work❤️

Trout is an exceptional, skilled photographer behind the camera and an even more amazing person. He captured the most special moments on our wedding day, pictures we will treasure for a lifetime. I try to work with all my couples to create a custom package that fits THEIR needs. I am currently offering a 10% discount to all couples that book before June 1st!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started shooting weddings about 7 years ago for Basecamp Visuals, a wedding and elopement photo/video company. After learning under them for a few years, I started my own business and have been enjoying it ever since!
