This is a long review but if you don't want to read it - just look at the pictures! This is the horrible state Josh left our house in after completing the work. We hired Josh for removing popcorn ceiling in our house and raising a false ceiling. When we visited the house we noticed nothing was covered or protected during the process, he ASSURED us everything would be cleaned upon completion. We understand drywall projects are messy but Josh didn't cover any of our carpets, our vents, or our untreated wood on our ceiling beams or stairway. Most of the following problems easily could have been avoided if Josh would have taken the time to prepare and protect our space as promised in our quote and through messages we exchanged. As a result, our carpets are having to be replaced due to the amount of dust embedded in them. The amount of dust in our carpet is a health hazard since we can't remove it all and we'd constantly be breathing it in. Also there is paint splatter in the carpet and mud caked into the carpet. When raising the ceiling, Josh's team accidentally cut a wire then patched the ceiling - so it cut electrical to multiple lights (which he did fix) but we now need to have an electrician come and cut up our ceiling looking for the live wire that is potentially up there because it is a FIRE HAZARD. When we messaged Josh about this serious safety concern he decided not to respond even though this is something his team could've fix, so left us with this bill instead. Also, since Josh decided to do no prep (even though it was in our quote) our wooden ceiling beams and wood stairway need to be repaired. And the ceiling paint job they did? Bad.....like I could've done better than this 😂 Aside from the electrical wire - 2 of 3 of these major issues could have been avoided simply by tarping the floor. When we called many other contractors and asked about their process they all stated tarping the floors would be the first step. We reached out to Josh to figure out a way to remedy the situation - ghosted us!! 👻 how professional. Any good contractor would've tarped the floors and protected untreated wood and responded when addressed with serious health and safety concerns! We paid Josh $9600 for this job and we are currently totaled up at $12,500 in damages so beware!!
