Continuing professional education (CPE) might be one of the biggest advantages of hiring a CPA over an unlicensed bookkeeper/accountant. In order to maintain an active CPA license, I have to complete 80 hours of CPE every 2 years. In addition to my required CPE, I strive to stay up to date on the issues and regulatory changes that affect the your industry.
