My work with Megan was as one of her instructors in her credential program here at the Foundation for the Equestrian Arts. I was one of her professors, and also supervised her as an instructor when she was working in the riding academy here. Megan is a dedicated professional, she's an experienced rider and trainer, and a scholar of the art of riding. Yet she's also very down to earth, not 'full of herself' as so many riding instructors seem to be. She is as comfortable executing the highly focused movements of haute ecole, piaffe, passage, flying changes-- as she is enjoying a day on the range rounding up cattle for branding with family and friends. It's not about the tack! It's about the tact. She's funny, focused, and very well educated as a riding instructor, and highly skilled as a trainer. Megan's warmth and empathy helps riders feel safe to make mistakes, and she is skilled at helping sort out the mistakes toward a more and more balanced and connected riding experience. The seatwork alone would be worth the lessons, but along with the balance, Megan's teaching develops the rider's ability to improve the horse through the intelligent use of the classical art. Megan Rau is both intuitive and intellectual, and she's a lot of fun to be around, too. I highly recommend Megan Rau Classical Horsemanship.

My daughter did a four hour riding lesson on 12/31/16 with Darla at Kids and Horses. It was excellent! I would highly recommend this riding school. My daughter is 9 years old, extremely shy and a beginner with horses. Darla was a great instructor! She made her feel comfortable right away. We can not wait to continue lessons at Kids and Horses.

Katie amazed me from day one with her knowledge and understanding of horses, patience with questions, and the effort she puts into fully interpreting and explaining horse behavior and effective riding/training techniques. I have learned more in 3 sessions here than I have in almost a year of work at a highly esteemed barn. I cannot give enough praise to Katie's care, compassion, and genuinely good attitude toward both her horses and her clients.

      About

Fair Mountain Stables Riding Program, I board, train and give riding lessons. I have 40 years of experience in the equine arena. I am a 4-H leader in the equine project and have had a 4-H club for 30 years. I am a very laid-back person and easy to get along with, but safety around horses is an absolute. I have taught all ages, from 5 to 50. I love English and Western and have wonderful school horses that can make you have a great experience learning how to ride. I became a professional trainer to help people transform their lives, and I want to see you accomplish more than you can on your own. It is difficult to find the time and motivation, so I will push you to accomplish your goals. It is my life and I want to share the equine experiences with all of those who are interested in the Sport of Riding and learning how to care and handle horses.

      About

Cornerstone Farm is committed to offering top-notch English riding education in small, focused classes. Our goal is to assist people in maximizing their love for horses and riding by constantly enhancing their knowledge of horses and riding ability, conforming to the classic horsemanship principles. A proper position in the saddle produces an effective and strong rider, so we put equal importance on control and position. Our method to flatwork includes basic dressage training: horses are ridden forward, with suppleness, rhythm, and balance. This foundation permits us to jump under control and safely. At Cornerstone Farm, we specialize in bringing along green horses correctly and slowly. We're also available for problem solving or boosting the training of a competitive horse. In addition, we can provide exercise riding or maintenance for schooled horses, and can exhibit horses for owners at local competitions. For riders who do not own a horse, we have school horses available which are willing and sound. They vary from ponies to thoroughbreds, guaranteeing the right mount is on hand for riders of every ability and age. Students riding school horses join in saddling and grooming, and should plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to starting your lesson, and stay for 30 minutes after every lesson to properly care for your mount.

I come from from a well-known riding family in Colorado. I have been riding since I could walk. Also, I've been showing and competing since I was five; now, I am 20 and showing in the Grand Prix ring. I have been teaching since I was 15 and have been able to watch my students grow as riders and as people. It makes teaching all worth it. I am always open to new students, from beginner to advanced.

      About

My work focuses on horse and rider only. I can understand a horse and see what they are feeling. There is a connection between horse and rider that is very strong. I have done research on horses for years and gone deep into thier history from the beginning, indians, and to today. I love working with all types of horses and people. I feel like I can be anything and do anything when I am helping others bond with thier horse and make thier dreams come true.

      About

Personality and Affordability: Our tagline is "Helping Horses Help People" and we do our best to honor that. All our staff members are skilled and professional, but have vibrant personalities because it's important to have the most fun possible while learning a new skill. In a line of work that tends to be cutthroat and competitive, it's very important to keep the clients best interest as top priority. Prices for training, lessons, and equine maintenance are always kept affordable so that clients are only spending what they need to spend and not break their wallets. The most rewarding part of teaching people to ride horses is watching students learn something new. Most of the time when a lesson is being taught, a trainer is on the ground teaching it and are only using words, gestures, and analogy's to relay what needs to be done. When a student is able to master something new without seeing it being physically demonstrated we know we're doing our job well. Besides that, being outside in the elements working with animals, meeting new people, and collaborating with other trainers is also really fun.

      About

I am an English-style horseback rider with 11 years of experience. My journey began being a little girl interested in horseback riding. It grew into a passion, part of my everyday life and later competing (hunter-jumper), training horses and caring for horses. I have decent amount of experience in this field and I am at the beginning of taking my passion into another level - horseback riding training. I am a student offering horseback riding lessons to beginners and intermediate riders (must have your own horse), help with care of your horse when you are on vacation or in need of an advice from more experienced person, the training of your horse (lounging, under saddle, ground manners) and the help of making connection between you and your horse. The rider's and the horse's safety is my number one priority. I believe in friendly, well-structured, consistent, safe and fun way of teaching. Note that I am not officially a certified trainer therefore I might be an affordable option for you.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
