How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a licensed electricain for many many years. I always thought this was the field of work I was meant to do for the rest of my life, however this was not the case for me. I was laid off due to the economic condition that we all face today. At that moment I knew I had to change my focus and direction in my life for me and my family. I saw an ad for someone hiring a carpet cleaner, I suddenly realized that I should start my own carpet cleaning company. I can't explain in words that moment, but it was very powerful to me. So I just applied the same concept from being an electrician to carpet cleaning. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME! In life there is no replay button.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Steam cleaning carpets is the most common.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A very bad urine job. She was going to replace but tried my method before she spent all that money on new carpet. She was so happy she just posted a review on Home Advisor and didn't have to replace any carpet. I like that....
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In my personal life I am always looking for an owner/operated company because I feel I get superior service and benefits. These types of companies understand the importance of quality and value. Having the owner of a company come out and do the work gives me great peace of mind because I know they truly care about what they are doing.
Being an owner/operated business myself, I strive for perfection in every service I perform. Repeat and refferal business is that important! Your best interest is my best interest at Skyline Carpet Cleaning. This is how I can offer a 100% guarantee on every job I do. If your not happy don't pay. That's my personal guarantee. Thanks, Jake Meredith. Owner/Operator
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
There is so much science and technology that goes into the cleaning world one has to be on top of all the changes that happen. Knowledge is power especially knowing when to use the correct products for each different situation. This is what separates the great cleaners to the ones that shouldn't be doing it at all.
KNOW YOUR PRODUCTS!!!! Yes it's that important!!!
