FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge by the hour for my services. I find this to be the most fair model for both parties. However, if a client has ongoing work, I am open to the idea of a monthly retainer. In addition, if a client wants my help with print management, I do not mark up printing costs. I only charge for my time to get the quotes and make the arrangements with the printer. The client would then be responsible for paying the printer directly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I onboard a new client, I like to have an initial meeting (either in person if local or via phone or Skype) to get to know them, their company and their project better. Depending on the type of project I will ask as many questions as necessary to get the information I need in order to give the client what they need as quickly as possible. I also explain my process for design and approval and release of artwork as well as make sure the client understands what I require from them in order to complete the project. If all sounds good to both parties, I will provide a written estimate and require that it be signed and returned before work can begin. I do not charge for my time for this initial meeting, however subsequent meetings are charged at the agreed-upon hourly rate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree in Marketing and over 20 years of marketing and graphic design experience. I've worked in agencies as well as corporate in-house design departments. I have a thorough understanding of branding and the importance of consistency and attention to detail.
