We also publish high-quality e-books with a variety of distributors across all platforms. As the Samizdat Creative publisher, I love working with authors and helping them make their passion a reality. I love words and all aspects of book creation--from the writing, to the perfection of editing, to the eye candy of design, to the success of good sales.

I have worked with Caleb on two projects now. From a pure business savvy standpoint I have found him to be prompt, organized, available, professional, helpful and knowledgeable. In regard to his coaching and editing skills I have found him to have the right mix of attention to detail, candor, wit, and direction. I believe that Caleb wants my projects to be successful. He is not afraid to tell me when he thinks I need to tweak my bearing, polish my ideas, add detail, or abandon something altogether. I am also a musician and I liken Caleb's skills to that of a good music producer--lending another set of ears, making suggestions, and saying the tough things while encouraging and pulling out the best in the artist. Samizdat Creative Services serves many authors with its editorial expertise, though ebook publishing and project management (including product creation and distribution) is quickly occupying more of our time.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Watch out for "vanity publishers" whose language tricks you into thinking you are getting more editorial and marketing services than you really are. They also are convincing when telling you how much control you have over your net profit, when they are still keeping most of the actual profit as "printing costs."
