We initially sought out landscaping help for the removal of a broken water feature and installation of two retaining walls in our backyard. Having recently purchased the home as a short sale, the yard was in desperate need of TLC and we discovered that it was a much larger project than we could handle. Dena from Gardens in Bloom came out almost immediately to look at our project and had a quote to us within a day or two- which we felt was extremely fast given it was during the peak summer season. During our initial visit we were impressed by Dena's energy and her enthusiasm for what she does; we were so impressed that we decided to add to the scope of work in the backyard (and then eventually the front!). What started out as a "little help" turned into a complete overhaul of sprinkler systems, rock beds, new sod, and flower beds in both our front and back yards, eventually creating a safe and beautiful oasis for our young family that we have thoroughly enjoyed! Dena and Mel have a crew of young men who were so pleasant and polite, and were always there when promised. We were also happy that Dena was present on site every day, making sure that everything was running smoothly and progressing as it should. Any issue or new idea that we had, she was always available and just a phone call away. As the work progressed, we added and changed and played with different ideas, and it was never a problem. We really felt like they wanted us to be 100% happy, even going so far as to have made multiple trips out to "tweak" and fine tune our vision after the project was complete. I can't speak highly enough of both Mel and Dena. They truly are kind people who we enjoyed meeting and we are beyond satisfied with the work that they did. We look forward to enjoying our yard for years to come!

Dena was prompt in her communications and thorough in how she managed the project. The workers were very conscientious in protecting the property and despite less than ideal conditions (very rainy May), they left the work area clean and in good shape. They were great about coming back out to replace one rose bush that didn't survive, and also completed a drip install on that shrub. Only gap in this project was that they covered up the pop-up sprinkler heads (5) with the weed guard and rocks in one of the planter beds, but thankfully I discovered that before it created any flooding and erosion issues with the retaining wall they were up against. As with any project, the difference between great and outstanding service are details, thus the reduction of one star. That being said, I would hire Dena again and would recommend Gardens in Bloom.

My experience with Gardens in Bloom has been wonderful. Dena quickly responded to my thumb tack request for a quote. I contacted her right away and she was eager to come out when it was most convenient for me. Dena listened to my needs and wants for my landscaping project. She offered wonderful suggestions. She provided me a quote within two days. Once the contract was signed she was able to start the work within the week. It took five days for my landscaping to be completed and Dena was on site daily ensuring everything was going as scheduled. She gave me daily updates on progress via text messages and pictures since I was at work. She quickly address any concerns I had. My lawn turned out beautiful and I am very very pleased with their work. I would highly recommend them. They are reliable and do quality work plus they are not going anywhere they've been in business for a long time so if I have any concerns in the upcoming years she is available to answer questions or do additional work.
