FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We prefer to meet new customers on their property in order to get the best understanding of their goals and motivations. It is not always necessary that new customers meet us at their property but a visit to the property is a must. After surveying your trees and property we provide you with a written estimate, a physical copy or by email. If you decide to hire Small Axe Tree Care we will work together to establish a day to perform the work. The work is performed by the same arborist who met with you and/or surveyed your trees.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified Arborists by the International Society of Arboriculture, Levi Rockett (RM-7702A) and Ray Rockett (RM-7484A). Tree Care Industry Association Certified Tree Safety Professional, Ray Rockett. We are trained in all aspects of urban tree care including proper tree pruning, safe work practices and emergency repsonse.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask for a few basic qualifications to protect your trees and other property. Ask your tree guy if they are a certified arborist, certified arborists have demonstrated their knowledge and work experience to the International Society of Arboriculture. Ask for insurance policy information, hiring contractors without insurance puts you at financial risk. Ask if your tree guy is licensed, many local municipalities require tree care contractors to carry a license.
