To Aspen Management, It is with disappointment and frustration that we are composing this letter. We have worked with you since April 2014 when we started our lease. Throughout this lease, we have interacted with you concerning repairs, requests, etc. More recently, we worked with you concerning an unfortunate frozen water wipe and lease assignment. These interactions with your company have been the worst customer service experience that we have had across any industry. The miscommunications, lack of flexibility, and disrespect for us as customers of your business were shocking. Scott Henderson is particularly to blame. While I spoke and emailed with him regularly (if not daily) over the past weeks, the number of times that he was supportive and/or helpful were minimal. Our requests were disregarded; our time and energy was wasted; and seemingly typical tasks for a property management company (house repairs, lease changes, etc.) were fumbled. Aspen Management did not take responsibility for any of these mishaps and therefore we were left with only frustration. This letter will be sent to the Aspen Management customer service email address as well as directly to Scott Henderson in email and hard copy. Then, we will be posting this letter to various social media outlets. Since you have been so inflexible and incompetent to us as your customers, this is our decision for how to treat you in return. It is with great relief that our lease was terminated with Aspen Management. ~Jacob Segil
Aspen Management's reply
It is true that Mr. Segil had a difficult circumstance. The maintenance issue in question was caused by a burst pipe when the thermostat inside Mr. Segil’s residence was set to approximately 55 degrees during a cold snap. As a management company we work for the owner of the property and are under their direction and control and cannot operate autonomously. Despite the efforts of our management team to rectify the issues at hand, the owner would not respond in what we deemed an appropriate fashion. We cannot force an owner to take action. As a result, we were powerless and terminated management with the owner. Mr. Segil was kept abreast of progress at every juncture and was even informed that we terminated management. We are terribly sorry that Mr. Segil did not have a positive experience.

My experience with Weston, both as our property manager and as our realtor when we bough our new home, was absolutely exceptional. As a retired military officer, I have experienced the full range of property managers and realtors in all parts of the country and Weston is by far the best my wife and I have encountered. He has proven expertise in his field, he is very responsive, and he focused on our individual needs. Above all, Weston is a man of integrity and character that we fully trusted as we made major home rental and buying decisions.

Weston is the consummate professional. Whether I'm working with him directly or through a client that I've referred to him, he handles matters perfectly. Time and time again I have seen him do things that save his clients trouble and money. Job well done.

I referred Weston to some extremely important clients who wanted to rent out their current home as they were moving into a new one. They are very demanding clients but have been incredibly pleased with the service and results they have received from Aspen Mgt. Weston is quite smart and has a high level of integrity - truly a high quality human being!
