- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
1) Look for demo videos. Anyone can make promises and say they are amazing at what they do. Can they provide proof? 2) Can they provide you with a copy of their liability insurance coverage? 3) Do they provide you with a written agreement? 4) Do they have a background in entertainment and or music? 5) What sort of backup plan do they have in place? Do they have a complete backup system in case it all goes wrong? Saying they have never had a problem is a major red flag! Ask them how they have overcome big problems and how they have tried to take measures against them ever happening again. 6) Make sure that they understand your style and what you are looking for. Not all events have the same goals in mind and might require a unique approach. 7) Years and years of experience are certainly great in many cases. That is assuming they have been striving to improve and always learn. Making the same dumb mistakes for years and years is nothing to brag about!
