Concrete Repair and Maintenance
**If I could give zero stars, I would. Please hang in there while reading this because it's a long review but should help you make the right decision. ** My wife and I decided to finish a room in our basement to convert into a bedroom. I had bought luxury vinyl plank floors to lay on our concrete subfloor, which was not perfectly level or smooth. So, I had companies come out and quote the job. My only intentions here were to level the floor so I could lay down by flooring and complete the bedroom. Peak Structure said I needed to raise the concrete slabs with a poly foam, which is expensive and while we're at it, we might as well address some of the cracks in the back patio too. I said, "Alright, you're the experts. If that's how we should be leveling this floor, let's go for it. Are you sure we shouldn't be using a self-leveling concrete mix?" They said that stuff isn't right for the job. So $2,000 later, our first experience with Peak Structural was complete. After the crew came out, I realized I still can't lay floor in that room. The floor wasn't flat and I felt Peak Structural had sold me on the wrong service. I had the supervisor come out who said the floor just needs a little more foam. They dropped in more foam, raised the slab more, and voila!, I still can't lay my floor. I make a phone call asking them to make this right. I just want to lay my floor. That's it! They said they'll send out a crew to lay self-leveling concrete mix and the issue will be resolved. The two man crew comes out a week later, doesn't prime the floor or clean it before laying the mix and after 5 days, the entire subfloor is cracked and floating. The job is now even worse that it was originally. One other note from this trip is that one of the two guys was out dropping f-bombs in our yard asking our landscapers (who are teenagers) for cigarettes. Very professional move. Now I get the supervisor and his boss out to review the floor, which is cracked and floating. They said the job wasn't done right and not too worry, the supervisor will get this done himself. One week later, the supervisor comes out with a crew, jackhammers up all the self-leveling concrete mix without sealing off the room, which put a nice, thick layer of concrete dust across everything in our basement - furniture, pool table, carpet, blinds, etc. After getting all the cracked concrete up, they proceeded to lay the new self-leveling mix again but they mixed it too think. If you've ever been to the Rocky Mountains, that's pretty much what our floor looked like at the end of the day - jagged, rocky, and about as big of a mess as I've ever seen. What really made the experience great was when the supervisor spilled self-leveling concrete mix on our carpet, which is now stained. I'm sort of out of luck on that one. He said "Don't worry, I'll be back tomorrow with a better crew. Don't even look at that room. We'll get it cleaned up." The next day, new people arrive to clean up the supervisor's mess. They sealed off the room, grinded down the jagged floor, and tried to lay new self-leveler, which was moderately better than the first time. In the end, I'm left with cracked dry wall, concrete splatters on all four walls of the room, and a bigger mess at the end of the job than I had at the beginning. Now here's the best part. Two weeks after the final crew finished, we called Peak Structural and said we need a refund. We need money back to fix the catastrophic mess they've made. They agreed to put a $500 check in the mail. Has the check arrived? Nope. Nothing. Not a word. So I leave you all with this. This job took over 4 months and I'm left with a worse product. I've worked with all types of individuals in my professional career. I have never witnessed this level of stupidity, irresponsibility, or dishonesty from a company all the way up the chain of command. Besides for one or two nice guys, most of these folks were very unprofessional. If you need concrete work, you're better off hiring another company or learning how to do it yourself.

Sam & Mitch came to lift our garage floor with polyurethane injection. They called ahead of time, introduced themselves and confirmed the time they were coming. They were both professional and polite. They explained the work they were doing to my satisfaction and took before pictures for comparison. They were also knowledgable in their field. Thank you very much.
