I am so happy with every aspect of Richlynn Construction. Finding a good contracting company felt impossible but they did an amazing job. Strongly recommend to anyone looking for a fair price and quality work! Longer notes below:
I initially engaged Richlynn for a basementremodel I wanted some time this fall. Their PM Alec came by with Rueben and Jose for a free quote. They arrived on time, asked thoughtful questions, provided helpful suggestions, and got back to me quickly when I realized I needed to make a change. The quote was clear and extremely well priced compared to other options.
We refined the quote and scheduled the work. Then literally the next week, I had a family death and needed to move another family member in with us. It was sudden and unexpected. Alec and team worked with me to expand my quote to include additional work required to make space for our new household member. They were compassionate and incredibly helpful with scheduling, allowing me to move up the timeline and increase scope, again with very fair and transparent pricing. I was a little all over the place and they were patient, kind, and clear communicators throughout the process.
When work began, Jose and Rueben were absolute gems. They were efficient without rushing and did a fantastic job on all elements including new drywall, electrical a upgrades, lighting changes, a new wall, and new flooring. They respected my space and schedule and were very pleasant to have around. I never felt like anyone was cutting corners and cannot overstate how happy I am with the quality of their work. Getting to peak downstairs each day was a treat and now that the spaces are complete, I keep popping in and it makes me so pleased.
I literally have no notes on things that I wish went differently. Big thanks to the whole team!

We had an unfinished basement that was nothing but exposed wood and open insulation, and they completely transformed it into a beautiful, finished space that my son can truly call his own. The difference is incredible.
From the very beginning, they were honest and upfront about pricing. Everything was clearly laid out, there were no hidden fees, and we always knew exactly what to expect. That kind of transparency is rare and so appreciated.
They were also amazing with communication — answering questions day or night and always taking the time to explain things. The whole process felt smooth, stress-free, and professional.
What I loved most was that you could truly feel the tight-knit family aspect of their company. It didn’t feel like just another job to them — it felt personal, and that meant so much to us.

Thank you, Rich and Alec, and your excellent team. Our basement looks better than we could have ever imagined. The hard work, efficiency, and care that your team poured into our home is genuinely appreciated. Karen was fantastic in the design details and made the space beautiful and functional. Here are a few before and after photos. The pictures don't fully show how incredible the transformation was.
I recommend Richlynn Construction and Remodeling to other homeowners. This contractor is fair, honest, and skilled. They are prompt and communicate well with both the timeline and the cost. Will hire again. Thank you!

RichLynn Construction just completed the remodeling of the basement in our townhouse. Rich Thompson and his son Alec were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Their bid was fair, the estimates for materials was accurate, all of their subs (of which there were several as this was raw space) were pleasant and professional, they were highly communicative throughout (and easy to reach, and returned all calls and texts promptly), the project was completed on time and budget, it looks fantastic, and my wife and I are thrilled with the outcome. We would happily use them again if the need arises and recommend them without reservation!
