Technology engineer and private tutor who lives in Colorado with over 11 years of instructor experience. I love to fly and graduated from the United States Air Force Academy. I was certified and taught as an instructor in the USAF for both ground lessons and flight lessons. This was what brought out my passion to teach. I am currently in private business for engineering. I have produced satellite and rocket products for customers and provided engineering consulting for Verizon Wireless, AT&T and PCS and others.
I traveled through 5 schools in 5 years during my teens due to family situations: home-school, public school, private/chartered school, then back to a public school. This left me unprepared for college. In college with help of friends and a great tutor I quickly realized potential was not my problem, it was my educational experience. From Home-schooling and tutoring children of my own (elementary, middle, high-school, college) to helping friends and being an active private tutor I see the same challenge with my students (kindergarten-adults). Most students don't struggle from potential but from their experience. Usually it is a motivational challenge (family challenges), or a very poor instructor-student or student-student experience.
Essentially, my greatest joy is seeing you succeed! Having overcome the challenge discussed above, and being successful in my career and a United States Air Force Academy Graduate, my experience gives me desire to see you succeed ! I work hard to make sure you can apply what we have learned for the current assignments and for future assignments. I try to give you a new experience that demonstrates you have the potential to be a great student all the time. Then I coach you on learning methods that work for you so you can continue becoming a better student. I am a professional in what I teach and I greatly enjoy it. Try me.
